Chapter Five.

Wandering aimlessly around the hallways, Eren sighed, his emerald eyes narrowed on the ground below him. He honestly didn't feel like going to his next class just yet, and in all honesty, he felt slightly depressed. Why? He didn't fucking know. He just felt... Sad. Maybe it had something to do with Levi? That guy had been haunting his dreams for as long as he could remember, causing so many tears to be shed, and now here he was. It seemed too good to be true. But the odd thing was, Levi seemed to have some interest in him as well. Or, at least that's what it seemed like. Why else would have stick up for him, or stare at him the way he had been earlier? Who knows? Maybe he was just thinking too into this. Yeah, that had to be it.
Shaking off the thoughts of the shorter male, Eren continued to walk, though a voice stopped him in his tracks. Shit.. This couldn't be happening. Not here. Jean...
Slowly turning, his eyes locked with a soft brown color.

"Jaeger, payback time." He grinned, walking over, his fist coming up and punching the smaller male in the jaw. Eren stumbled back in a daze, though didn't back down like usual. He was taking what Levi said and standing up for himself, though, that didn't last long. Jean's fist met Eren's cheek, then his leg met his stomach. Before he knew it, Eren was on the ground, his body wracking his pain. He felt another punch, then another kick, and before he knew it, he was unconscious. The last thing he recalled was a voice yelling. 'Levi...?'

When Eren woke up, he was back in his room. Confusion clouded his eyes as he went to sit up, though let out a yelp of pain. His entire body was hurting, and it was just now occurring him to him what had happened. He got his ass kicked by Jean.. Great, he'd never live that one down.
When he finally snapped out of his thoughts, his eyes landed on another person.

"What the hell? Levi? What are you doing here?" The younger boy frowned, rubbing his head. Levi stared at him with a blank expression, before giving a shrug of his shoulders.

"Came to see if you were alright."

"How did you know where I live?"

"I have my ways."

"Stalker much."

"More like your blond friend."

"Oh... But why are you here..? I mean, why do you care if I'm alright?"

"I don't know. I just felt like I should check up on you.." Levi trailed off, his cold gaze shifting elsewhere, then flickering back to Eren. "Looks like you won't be going back to school for awhile.. Your mother was freaking out when I got here.."
Eren frowned, looking at the door.

"I hate worrying her..."

"Mmm, well, sometimes it can't be helped. Besides, this wasn't your fault."

"I know, but still.. I always cause trouble like this." Eren let out a sigh and looked back at Levi. "What time is it?" Levi gave a small shrug and pulled out his phone.

"12:30."

"Shouldn't you be in school still?"

"Nah, I got suspended." Levi shrugged again, leaning back in the chair he was sitting in.
