Jennifer's POV
Monday already? Back to the place where all the dorks and geeks call home. Well, what could be expected from a bunch of socially-inept outcasts. Whereas, for people like me, who have actual goals and meaning in life, Monday is the most dreaded day of the week. The end of the parties and the start of the homework compilation. I mean, I'm not going to do any of it, but that doesn't make my situation any better. At least school has at least a few pros to its endless list of cons.
Cons: Naggy teachers, work, constant reminder that I'm failing, scoldings which I do not even listen to, the school's inedible food, etc.
Pros: Being popular and torturing those miserable twits that dare cross me.
But nothing beats seeing my boyfriend.
I mean, we do see each other during the weekends but being able to hold his hand in the hallways while the rest of the girl population glance at me with either jealous or admiration was the best part of my entire school life.
"Hey Jen!" a familiar voice greeted me. "River!" I whipped around while walking to the lockers. He gave me a quick peck on the cheeks and led me to my lockers, his hand slipping into mine. Occasionally, i would earn a few envious glares .
Naturally, we were the school's most well known couple, tied with my sister and Tyler.
I looked at my schedule. Calculus. WTH!? Whatever. I bade River goodbye and slumped towards the classroom. Glancing at my watch, i realised that i was 10 minutes late. Yay!
Banging the door open, the old hag of a teacher smiled at me sarcastically and remarked," How nice of you to join us, Ms Parker. You're amazingly early."
"You're welcome. Now do me a favor and get your ass out of the class," I replied just as politely. The class snickered. The dog's face turned beet root then gestured for me to seat.
I sauntered to a seat next to my good friend, Ember. "You totally pwned the teacher there." she whispered, grinning.
"Listen up class! Especially you Ms Parker." she shot me a look. I rolled my eyes. "This is a very important concept. The area of the quadrilateral is..." she droned on about shit.
"The area of your shit is half times your ass times your brain--if you have one,"i mimicked the bitch's voice to Ember . She slapped her mouth to stifle a laugh. "Is there a problem..."
RING!!!!! Saved by the bell. Next is Physics. River's there with Jessica and Tyler.
"Yo Jen. How's math? Missed me?" River found me again.
"Math's fine. And no i did not miss you at all."
"Ouch! That hurt. "He pretended to wince, pointing to his left part of his chest.
"Yeah?" Before he could say anything else, I crashed my lips into his. Hungrily, he licked my upper lip, asking for permission to enter. I opened my mouth and his tongue slid into it. I nibbled his lips while he sucked mine. I wrapped my arms around his neck and he cupped my face, stroking my cheeks.
Nothing special about this kiss. Around three minutes later, our lips parted and I leaned on my boyfriend's shoulder, collected my books from my locker and we walked to class, hand in hand. We entered the room, exactly on time. Wow.
On the way, i passed by my sister. You know the very irritating twin. "Flirting much?" she smirked, linking hands with Tyler. I ignored her comment and retorted, "Speak for yourself, bitch."
"What did you call me, asshole?" she sneered.
"The two Ms Parkers, please stop bickering."the teacher said.
Shooting Jessica a death glare, I set beside River.
"As you know, we are starting a new chapter on forces. You will be doing a small project on forces and Newton's laws of motion. I will be grouping all of you."she announced.
"First, Megan with Bridget."
"Jake with Jonah."
Say im with someone good...
"Blahblahblah..."
JUST SAY MY NAME.
"And... oh er im afraid we have a bit of a mixup with Tyler , River , Jessica and Jennifer. So..."
Me and River. Come on...
"Tyler and Jennifer. River and Jessica."
WTF!?
GODDAMN. NO WAY AM I GOING TO WORK WITH MY SISTER'S BOYFRIEND. WTH. Way to go life.
I shot River a look. I know right.
