Back Then

Its been two years and and I was now at the 104th boot camp. I haven't been here for almost a year but the atmosphere was the same as back then. Why did that damn Levi and Erwin order me to supervise it this. I wanted to go on the mission with them, but no I'll be stuck here for 3 years, I sighed. I was starting to get a headache and Keith's yelling wasnt helping at all. I watched as he was scaring most of the rookies. "Looks like a good bunch this year, huh" I turned to see Arran. "Woah I haven't seen you in awhile" I replied. "Me and Bella couldn't keep up with you back then so we were in different groups. Plus you were in Captain Levis group no way in hell we could"
"You always were the laid back type, Arran. Ohh yeah how about Bella?" I asked.
He pointed to the rookies and she was one of the people questioning them. "Can't say im surprised" we both laughed. Bella was probably one of the scariest people I knew. Back then on a mission none of the animals came near her, eventually all the horses she would get would later leave her, except Freya since it was my horse and Bella wasn't a threat to her, or maybe Freya wanted to protect me while I was with Bella, I was kind of scared of her sometimes.
That's when I sensed it, Bella was looking dead at us, but Arran kept laughing, I guess he doesn't have a sixth sense. I covered his mouth and he suddenly elbowed my stomah causing me to flip him over. "WHATS GOING ON OVER THERE" Keith yelled at us. All the rookies turned to us. "Damn it Kiyomi you were suffocating me" he said between coughs. "Arran you didn't feel Bella staring at you laughing." He went silent. "I'm dead" was all he said. We both stood up. "Sorry Keith we were practicing hand to hand combat!" I yelled over to him. "Hey Kiyomi why do you call Commander Keith just Keith? If we did that he would kill us!" I shrugged my shoulders at Arran. "Who know? I don't remember when I started calling him that, but he never minded it."
We went back to watching and one girl was eating a potato, I kinda got hungry watching her eat, but Keith spotted her. He walked over to her, this isn't gonna end well.
"Kiyomi come over here" Keith asked. I went over to him seeing that the girl eating a potato was gone. "You see anyone who has potential?" I look around to see a few who made a face that says they've seen one of those monsters before.
IM ARMIN THATS MIKASA AND HES EREN I heard in my head. It was a memory from back then, I looked back at the rookies and saw older versions of the little kids I once saw, I smirked. "So they're still alive huh"
I nodded to commander Keith, he dismissed all of them as I watched Eren, Mikasa and Armin walk away. I sure hope they can get through this hell of a place.
It was getting dark and I was getting hungry, after my patrol I went over to the cafeteria and I saw potato girl still running, turns out Keith made her run until dark. I ran over to the cafeteria and opened the door seeing Eren and some guy arguing. I walked over but they were apologizing to eachother. What the? Thy were arguing a momeny ago. The bell rang and I watched as people were leaving. "Seems like I missed the fun"
"Hey Kiyomi here" Bella was holding a tray for me. "Thank you" we started to eat together when lights were going out. I guess I got here a little late. "I'm really tired, how about you?" Bella said as she stretched. "I'm kinda excited"
"For what?" She asked.
"Nothing"
We both walked out the cafeteria and went on patrol again. Out of nowhere I saw a beast, it's red eyes gleaned in the darkness and it looked hungry.
It tackled a young girl to the ground, I ran over to help but I turns out to just be Sasha and Christa. I let out a sigh of relief "Dammit Sasha I thought you were a beast devouring her!!" Sasha and Christa looked at me. That's right they don't know me. "I'm sorry I'm Kiyomi I'm a supervisor of this boot camp"
"Oh yeah you had some guts eating in front of Keith, Sasha " I said as I just stared at her .
" thank you " she replied.
"Kiyomi we should get back to patroling." She dragged my arm" i waved goodbye to Christa and Sasha.
"We aren't here to make friends Kiyomi" Bella said.
"Who said we can't make friends" I said lulkig my arm from her and walked away.
I was out patrolling when i spotted Mikasa and Eren ahead of me, I stopped and they looked at me. "Long time no see" I said as both of then took a step back. "Aww you guys don't remember me" I frowned. "You're from back then, Kiyomi right" Mikasa plainly said. I hugged her "you do remember me!" I smiled.
"Wait Kiyomi the girl from back then ?" Eren asked as I nodded my head. "I always wondered, were you really with the survey corps?!" Eren asked all excited. "Technically yeah"
"What do you mean technically?" Mikasa asked.
"I was only 12 at the time and Commander Erwin recruited me. But I still had to come to this boot camp for a year"
"So you're 2 years older than us" I nodded.
"How did you get in at that age?!!" Eren yelled gripping my shoulders. I suddenly gripped his hands and did a submission on him, then mikasa came at me, her eyes gave off a vibe that she was seriously about to hurt me. I released Eren and ducked from Mikasa and pushed her towards Eren.
"Sorry about that" I said.
"What the hell was that!" Eren asked as Mikasa looked pissed off.
"It was a reflex" I shrugged. "When I was sent here a year ago I was trained in hand to hand combat everyday while others brushed it off since it didn't count against our grade. Let's just say old habits die hard." I said.
"What do you mean you were sent here?" Mikasa asked. I tightened my fists.
That damn Levi and Erwin.
"Don't worry about it" It started to get really dark "Anyways you guys should get some rest for tomorrow, you'll need it"
I did one more lap around the cabins before going to my cabin. As I was walking I began to think about when I used to be here.
Flashback:
"AND WHO IS THIS LITTLE GIRL!? NO ONE SAID WELL BEING LETTING BABYS JOIN"
I saulted to him "SIR I AM KIYOMI AYERS, COMMANDER ERWIN FORCED ME TO COME HERE SIR!" I yelled back at him. I was late joining the boot camp so everyone else was around 14 years old already while I was still 12.
"Commander Erwin forced you?!" He said quieter but this time he said it in a frightening tone, but I didn't budge. "Yes Sir" I replied. A man came behind commander Keith and whispered something in his ear. Later he stepped back and grinned "I see you've had experience with everything already" he left and moved on to interigating others, but I heard them whispering about me. I was the youngest one here and not to mention one of the smallest.
"She's from shiganshina right?"
"Yeah that's what I heard too and I heard she's killed titans already"
"Who? The girl with the black hair?"
I heard as all of them spoke behind my back. Why did they sound afraid, I wondered. When we started using the maneuver gear I was the only one who didnt get to try.
"Why isnt Kiyomi trying?!" Others sajd in disgust. "Shes already qualified" they answered. The whispering began again.
The next day Captain Levi came and was talking to Commander Keith. They turned and saw me. "Kiyomi get over here" Levi said. I walked over and people started to stare. I've heard rumors of Levi being crazy strong but never saw him in action before, Erwin told me he was the best of the best. I got to spend a few days with them before they stuck me in this place but Levi pissed me off most of the time but even thought I say that he's really reliable and also a clean freak. I'd always laugh when he cleaned every morning but he would always hit the top of my head for laughing.
"Yes sir!" I saluted to Levi.
"Cut the crap, Kiyomi, no need to be polite" Levi said. I sighed "Geez Levi I'm trying to be nice and that's how you act"
"You're being such a brat, here" he gave me the 3D manuver gear. Whoa whoa whoa! He just called me a brat . . . i guess I got used to him calling me that, it was normal. "come on follow me." He said, I looked over at Commander Keith and he just nodded. I strapped myself into the gear and followed Levi "so where we going?" I heard him groan "Erwin said I had to train you"
"WHATTT!?"
"Quiet down brat."
"You really need to stop with that name"
Levi used his gear to get up onto a tree. "I was told you know how to use the gear, but I doubt you know how to use it efficiently"
"Duh are you stupid? That's why I'm here, to train using this stuff " I replied.
"You damn brat just try to keep up then"
Levi suddenly disappeared into the woods. Did he want me to catch him? I shot into the air and followed him by listening for the sound of his maneuver gear.
I finally found him and he was making all these complicated moves, how was he doing that? I followed his movement but ended up getting tangled up in my own wires. "Oh shit" I cursed to myself. "You're not as good as they say you are, huh" I looked below me and saw Levi with a smirk on his face. "Shut up! Can you please just help me." Levi started walking away leaving me behind. "You're not gonna leave me here right?" But he kept walking. Its been a few minutes but he never came back, I started to wiggles trying to get loose. I unhooked one of my wires and it was loose enough to get out. "That damn Levi, I'll get him for this"
"For what" right next to me was the one and only Levi. I lunged at him punching his face. "What the hell-"
"Why'd you leave me you bastard!" He stood up and rubbed his cheek. "I didn't leave you" I stared at him, this guy, irratates me.
End of Flashback:
I was done walking the grounds and headed for my cabin. I wonder if Levi would come and visit me. I shook my head, hell no.
