Amelie POV
I looked around the room trying to process how the fuck we had ended up in this situation. We are good at what we do, the best actually. There was nobody out there like us. So, how was it possible that they had traced us and killed one of our own? All this thoughts raced through my mine. Did they know us? What we did? Our past? No, it was not possible. They undoubtedly got lucky. I scanned the room once again taking my surrounding more prudently. It was a four by four cell, one small window the size of a notebook on the far top right corner. There was only one door evidently made out of silver just like the window. There was no way out. They had us confined clearly at their mercy.
"They fucking killed Lucas, M! We need to get out of here. We are different and once they find out who we are and what we've done they'll kill us. They won't even think twice about ending our lives," I turned around to face angry Alec. The omega that put us in here was stupid enough to imprison us all in the same cell. I was on the verge of responding when Caroline voiced her opinion.
"Alec is right, they've held us captive for two days already, it's just a matter of time before there alpha appears and kills each one of us."
I knew that, it was a surprise that there alpha wasn't around especially in this pack. We had done a lot of research on the Blue Blood pack. We knew everyone that needed to be known. I like to believe we know more about the pack then their own alpha.
Turning my gaze to the bar silver door I responded angrily, "don't you guys think I fucking know that? There is no way out! We are trapped, look around the only thing standing between us and freedom is that fucking silver door," I yelled pointing at the door, "and even if we do manage to get out they'll be dozens of werewolves waiting to get their hands on us."
I closed my eyes and leaned against the wall. I had no plan, no way of getting out. I was angry and sad all at the same time. I should have known. I should have seen it coming and now Lucas was dead because of a careless mistake. How could this happened, I let the man I held close to my heart die.
I rested my head against the wall as I slouched into a seating a position. I tried to recall the events that happen two days ago.
We had just gotten word from our inside source that the man we had been following was murder by his son. Therefore, our task was completed. Alec, had the bright idea to celebrate by going to our favorite burger joint.
We were never a cheery bunch, all six of us had scars and deep ones. All of us were usually very guarded and aware of our surrounding but for some reason that day we let loose and celebrated. After a couple of burgers and cheap beer we made our way out of the burger joint. All five of us were laughing at something Lucas had mentioned that we didn't notice the black Range Rover pull up. Our werewolf senses however, quickly noted the smell of the Blue Blood pack.
We acted like normal naive humans and pretended we didn't know who they were. However, there beta was very clever he smelled our scent even though we had injected ourselves with wolves vein hours before.
I can see him from the corner of my eye approaching us with the four men that had gotten off the Range Rover as well.
I looked at the people I had come close to and nodded at them. All six of us knew what was coming. We weren't scared nor intimidated we had become the best not once had we lost in a fight. We had been captured a couple of times but that was because of mediocre mistakes.
We all know what to do. Lucas said through our mind link.
We didn't wait for the beta to reach us, all six of us crossed the street and made our way through the trees and bushes that connected to the forest ahead.
"Hey! Wait!" we all heard the beta yell but by then we had all reached the forest. I turned back and saw the beta and his four men fast behind us. Lucas suddenly stopped causing me to clash with his hard back.
"What fuck Luc?" I said in a harsh whisper. This is a trap. There is no fucking way this was a coincidence Caroline mind linked.
"We're surrounding," Lucas said looking in front of him. For a normal human it would have been impossible to see the ten wolves approaching in front of us due to the darkness.
"Fuck," I hear Caroline and Jaden whisper at the same time. We were out number by a long shot. Not only were there five wolves in back of us but also ten in front.
"There are ten more coming from my left and I can hear six approaching from Jaden's right," Alec said in a stern voice. How could we let this happen?
We fight like we know how too. They might have us outnumbered but we are ruthless fighters we will not go down without a fight, Lucas said through our mind link. Jaden and Alec will shift the rest of us fight in human form will have a bigger advantage that way.
We prepared ourselves while the wolves got nearer. Once they were close enough I heard Jaden's and Alex's bones crunching into wolf form. We didn't wait for the Blue Blood pack to get to near, we attacked as soon as our guys had shifted.
Everything happened so quickly after that.
"Hey, we will go after all of them for what they did. They don't touch one of our own and go with out a scratch." I turn to look at Caroline sitting next to me as well. Her words held anger and sadness which was something we were all feeling for loosing Lucas. We had to come up with a plan and quickly because I had a feeling tonight was our last night together.
