Adam's P.O.V
I woke back up around 4 am. My head was hurting a little, but I had sobered up. Suddenly all the memories from what happened tonight flooded back. I thought Raynee was Haley. I released a sigh and walked out of the bedroom and down the stairs. Haley was no where to be found. Had she left? I knew her very well, but I'd never seen her deal with something like this, so I really didn't know where she was, what she was doing. I felt so guilty, even though I couldn't really do anything about what happened. She must think everything I told her was a lie.

I sat in Jamie's car in the drive way. I let out a deep breath, thinking about everything that happened tonight. Adam cheated on me, I cheated on him. Trey was right, I should've just talked it out with him instead of going to the extreme and having sex with him. I just needed to feel wanted, appreciated, and Trey was willing to offer me that. There are the regrets that come with things like that, though. I looked down at the clock and saw it was 4 am. I didn't want to go back inside yet, so I remained where I was and turned up the radio."Now that she's back in the atmosphere with drops of Jupiter in her hair," the radio played. "I still love this song," I said to myself. I sat and continued listening to the lyrics, letting the music take away the thoughts of everything wrong. Music really did help me get things off my mind. It was my escape from it all. "And then u miss me while you're looking for yourself out there.." Then again, sometimes it only makes me think of the problems more. But it's good to face your problems I guess. That's what I have to do with Adam. Admit to what I've done, and hopefully let things go back to the way they were. Despite everything, I knew deep down Adam and I were always going to end up finding our way back to each other.

I looked at the clock and saw it was 4:30. "I guess she's not coming back tonight.." I sighed and got up from the couch. I walked over to the kitchen window and looked out. Everything was quiet, no lights on, it was like a ghost town.. It was like the night was frozen in time. I shook my head at my own thoughts. "That sounded way too poetic. Just go to bed Adam." That's what I did. Thing was, I couldn't sleep. All I thought of was the mistakes I'd made, thought of Haley and I together. I was making myself miserable and I didn't even mind. I could still feel her lips on mine, the way she'd run her fingers through my hair. I looked to my right and only saw the empty bed beside me. That's where Haley should be.. Not wherever she is now.Haley's P.O.V
I must've fallen asleep, because I woke up and saw that it was daylight. I wasn't going to prevent the inevitable anymore, so I got out of the car and walked inside. No one was awake yet, so I crept up the stairs and quietly stepped into the bedroom. "You didn't come home last night," Adam says immediately as I walked in. I looked at him and saw he was turned away from me, the bed sheets laying over his waist. "I didn't want to," I answered hesitantly. "Can't say I blame you.. After everything you saw." Before he could say anything else, I interrupted. "Adam, we need to talk.." "Then talk," he said, sitting up, "I'm listening." "I did some things I regret last night, too," I say. Adam's brows furrowed and he waited for me to continue. "You aren't the only one who cheated." "What do you mean I'm not the only one?" "I had a one night stand to get some sort of revenge. I needed to feel something, I needed someone to want me without any doubts, and that was something I couldn't get from you then." Adam ran his fingers through his hair and let out a sigh. "You cheated on me, on purpose," he says, breaking our eye contact and looking away. "Do you really think I could've prevented what happened last night?! I was drunk Haley! For Christ sake, I thought it was you!" I didn't know what to say. "Oh, now you're not going to say anything! Now that you know you're the real one at fault here." "I was hurting Adam!" I felt tears coming to my eyes. I could tell Adam was angry. He got out of bed and walked over to me, cowering over me. "You were hurting? You didn't even know the whole story! You know her reputation, yet you still wouldn't believe what I said. The one person you've been with all this time and you don't believe them!" Adam's voice started getting louder. He let out a deep breath and turned his back from me. "I wanted to believe you.. But when you see the man you love in bed with another woman, it's hard to believe anything." "Just stop," Adam says as I began to say something else. "Adam please." I reached my hand out and touched his arm. "What I did last night meant nothing to me. I did it because I was angry, I wanted you to hurt like I was hurting. I know it wasn't smart, but it happened, and I can't take it back even if I tried." He turned and looked down at me like before. "It's my fault all of this happened. I deserve it. I should've been more assertive when I told Raynee to stay away from me.." I looked and saw tears in his eyes. "I made you not be able to trust me. I drove you to something you never would've done just on a whim. It's all my fault." "What I did was my choice, and it wasn't because of you. Yeah the situation had something to do with it, but it was me who told myself to do what I did. As for Raynee, there's nothing you could've said to keep her away. I should've not been so close-minded. I should've considered other things than the fact you wanted her." I grabbed his hand and brought it to my heart. "I'm so sorry Adam. No matter what, this heart will always beat for you." "Please don't do this to me again. It's hard to imagine you with someone else but me," he says. "I promise I won't." Adam sighed and leaned his head back, "Come here." He took me into his arms and held me in his embrace. Nothing could ever compare to Adam's hugs. You could just feel the love, the commitment, everything he felt for me you could feel through his embrace. It was amazing, he was amazing, and I'm happy that after everything we've been through, he still loves me no matter what. "You're all I ever wanted, Haley," Adam whispers and kisses my head. "I love you so much.. More than you will ever know." His words continued, and I finally stopped him with a kiss. "Let's go downstairs," I say, slowly pulling away, "Jamie and them will be up soon." Adam nodded, and hand in hand we walked down the stairs.
