I glance at tay as we walked from the diner to where the buses where parked. she looked so focus, it concerned me slightly.
"Are you okay?" I blurt out and she lifts her head, looking at me. Her beautiful eyes seemed so dull and in pain, it made me want to hold her and never let her go.
"I don't know" she mutters and shakes her head. "Everyone expects me to always be happy, which I'm not" she admits and I wrap my arm around her shoulder. She gives me a comforting smile, making my heart melt a little. Damn it Lynn. Don't fall for her...not again.
"I understand. You have people who look up to you. And you just need to get away from that sometimes" I tell her and she nods, biting her lip as she laced our fingers together. I had to admit it. I was so confused. One minute she's snapping at me and the next, she's letting me hold her hand.
"Tay?" I ask and she lifts her head, looking me in the eyes. "What are we?"
She furrows her eyebrows, biting her lip. "What type of question is that? We're friends" she states and pulls her hand from mine, making my heart break into a thousand pieces.
"Really?" I say, baffled. "What is it with you? All I get from you is a static voice. Sometimes I guess it right and the next, you're nothing"
Before she could say another word i ran away from her, hearing her call after me. I didn't realize I was crying until I felt my hot tears hit my shirt, making me wipe my eyes with the corner of my hand.
You did it again Gunn. You fell for someone who doesn't want to catch you

A week later
I laugh with Alex as we walk into the bar. We weren't here for drinking. More of just the place had great wings. And music.
It was almost pitch black as we walked in, some alternative music blasting throughout the small place. It was weird to hear that type of music at this place but it was unique. I saw a couple of people on the dance floor, not really focusing on them.
"Okay loser has to pay for the meal" I bet and he nods, shaking my hand. We always bet that whoever ate all the wings first, wins. Loser had to pay or had to take a dare.
"Deal gunn. You're gonna lose" he says and I shake my head, tsking him. I see his eyes widen, making me look at where he was staring. I felt my jaw drop as I saw Tay, beer bottle in her hand, dancing all over a guy. She looked drunk out of her mind and her eyes were blood red.
"Come on" Alex persists and I sigh, following after him. He walked to tay, taking her hand and pulling her away. She stumbled after him, her short dress, revealing her higher thighs. I would have fixed it for her but she didn't seem to mind it. And I didn't want her to get mad at me. Again.
"You're hot" she mutters as she looked over Alex. I saw his cheeks turn red but then he remembered his task, I was frozen in place as she looked me over. I felt her once beautiful eyes, tear me apart.
"Why are you here?" She spit out and I stutter, looking down. I felt my cheeks turn as red as Alex's did when she called him hot. She just rolls her eyes and focuses on Alex, making my heart break into a thousand pieces. She had this affect on me. Except I allowed her.
I heard Alex mumbling some words to her before she giggled and gripping his shirt, only focused on one thing. She smirks slightly before she kissed him roughly, the people around us, cheering them on.
But the thing is
He kissed her back.
