-In the past-

You were outside your home, sitting on a porch swing with your mother in your front yard. You held your suitcase tightly, eagerly waiting. You tug on your mothers shirt.
"When is he going to be here?"  You ask her. Just as she was about to respond, a red, rusty, truck pulled up in your driveway. Your mother kisses your forehead. "I'll see you in a few weeks. Love you, sweetie"
"Yeah Mom. I love you too!" You say as you run to the truck with your (F/C) suitcase dragging behind you. The older man in the truck rolls down the window. "Why, hello (y/n)!" He says.
"Hello Grandpa!" You say as you reef open the passenger door, hopping into the truck. You put on your seatbelt, and put your suitcase at your feet.
Rolling down your window, you wave to your mother. "Byeeee!" You yell. She waves back to you, and yells "Goodbye, hun! Have a good time." You smile as your grandpa pulls out of the driveway and onto the road.
The truck drives along the road, hitting a few bumps here and there.
"So, what are we going to do first, Grandpa?" You ask. "Well, if you'd like, I could take you out swimming tomorrow." Your grandfather says with a smile. "Yeah! That's great!"
-Time skip-
You arrive at your grandfathers house, and you get out of the truck, taking your suitcase out and then shutting the door to the old truck. Your grandfather unlocks the door to his house. It was a off-white coloured house, with big glass windows. There was a light blue roof that matched the door and the window frames.
"Wow...!" You mutter to yourself in awe. This house was beautiful! Your grandfather held open the door. "(y/n), are you coming inside? It's getting dark out, and I'm sure your hungry!"
You nodded and raced into the house. It was beautiful inside as well! The walls were painted a pastel pink, it smelt like faint vanilla.
Your grandfather showed you to your room, which was upstairs. "Here is your room, (y/n). I know it's not decorated very much, but you can put whatever you'd like in here."
"Thank you so much!" You say as you enter your room. There was a queen sized bed, with a light blue comforter, that was decorated with darker blue zigzags. It reminded you of the ocean.
You unpack your suitcase, and then run  back downstairs. You can smell freshly cooked meat, and you see your grandfather taking out a chicken from the oven.
After you ate, you went and brushed your teeth and got in bed. Your grandpa came up into your room and kissed your forehead.
"Goodnight, (y/n)" he said. "Goodnight grampa. Love you" you say with a yawn. He smiles as he exits your room, shutting the door "Sweet dreams" he says as he walks away.
You fall asleep, dreaming about the ocean and going swimming...

The next day

You had just got your swimsuit on, when you heard a knock at the door. You run downstairs and open the door to see a boy, that is a little taller than you. He has olive green hair, and bright green eyes. He looks startled as he sees you. "Hi there. I think I must have gotten the wrong house.." You were about to say something when your grandfather came to the door. "Why, hello Makoto. How are you this morning?" Makoto smiles and hands your grandfather a piece of paper with a drawing of a killer whale ( orca ).
"I made this for you..." Makoto says.  Your grandfather thanks him. "Makoto, what are you doing today?" He asks. "Well, noting really..." The boy responds. Your grandfather hands him a pair of his swimming shorts. "You left these here a few days ago. How would you like to come swimming with me and (y/n)?" You smile and wave at Makoto, who has a giant grin on his face. "Really?! I'd love to come!!" He says excitingly, as he takes his swimming shorts and gets them on quickly.
All three of you get in the truck.  Makoto turns to you and says "Hi (y/n) it's nice to meet you. My name is Makoto." You smile and say "Hi Makoto. Do you... Wanna be friends...?" He smiles and nods happily.

That day was only the first day you saw your new friend. Almost every day after that he came by your grandfathers house and you two played together. You loved Makoto, he was one of your best friends.

But one day while you were visiting your grandfather, something awful happened. Something that would change you and Makoto forever. Something unfixable....
