That night Ryan walked me home. I climbed onto my roof and waved bye. My window was still open and I climbed back in being as quiet as possible.
I began to think about tonight, I had fun its not every night you run from the cops and it sure does make you tired. I can't stay mad at Ryan, and after all his intentions were good I guess.
I hardly got sleep that night, its hard trying to sleep when you have so much on your mind.
The next morning I woke up it was a Saturday and my parents were working over time. I heard a knock at the door, it was my friend Laya, she spent most weekends at my house.
"Hey!" She smiled. "Hey". She entered the house, "so I hear you and Ryan went on a date last night" she smirked. "Yeah if you count running from the cops a date".
Laya gave me a shocked look. "You? Running from the cops? Please" she laughs. I tell her about Ryan lying about where he lived and she began to laugh, so did I.
Laya was different then most friends she actually understands me in a way I don't understand myself. Ryan is the same way, infact it freaks me out how much they know about me.
Around 5 we invite Ryan over, he never lets us go to him. We've been friends for 9 years and I've never been to his house. About 3 months ago he asked me out for the first time. We just go on dates really we don't have labels as much as I wish we do.
Ryan knocks on the door and Laya answers he gives us his goofy grin he is famous for. "Guess what I brought" he grins. He holds out his pipe and zippo.
Laya and I look at each other. "Race you outside" she hollers. We all run out side and begin to load. "You get first hit" I say to Ryan he gives us another goofy grin. He passes it.
After we finish we all get hungry and go inside to get a snack. We have about an hour before my parents get home so we make sure we don't make a mess. I turn on some tunes. Laya is more of a person who relaxes, Ryan and I are opposite. We get up and dance together, which he is good at but me on the other hand... I kept stepping on his toes.
Even after 3 months of dates we have never kissed, I think we are both shy about who is going to go first. Right then he leans in and kisses me. Although it's not what I was expecting it was the most amazing feeling ever. My heart raced, thats when I knew, I was falling.
