Aaron jumped out of the car holding a carefully decorated box in his hands.
His father screamed for him to come back but Aaron blocked out his demands.
Aaron saw his old house come into view, his face burned and his chest thumped with his beating heart.
Ethan was just beginning to leave, the tears never stopped they couldn't stop, they wouldn't stop.
"E..Ethan!" Aaron cried out holding his chest while panted gasping for air.
"Aaron? What are you-" Aaron pushed forward the box.
It was decorated in various amounts of stickers and glitter. The box was a nice California Blue color. It looked as if it was new although it was at least a year and a half old. On the top of the box, centered in the middle was piece of paper that was decorated with glitter to write out 'Dear Ethan'.
Ethan looked at the box as if it could be dangerous. He took it cautiously and opened it.
On the inside was a picture of him and Aaron. He was laughing while Aaron was slightly smiling. How he got the picture didn't matter at the time, all that mattered was what was the box for.
"Aaron what is this?" Ethan picked up the papers inside. He glanced at them noticing that each had 'Dear Ethan' written on each one.
"Ethan I wrote to you a lot. It was a stress reliever. All my secrets and reasons for my suicide attempt are in the letters." Aaron had a straight face as he told Ethan.
Ethan nodded in understanding and picked up the first letter out of the other ones he had.
'Dear Ethan,
Today you were wearing a flannel shirt with khakis.
I told you that you looked bad. But you actually looked great.
Later that day my friends stole your khakis in P.E.
You walked around in your flannel for the rest of day, a sad look on your face.
I felt horrible for their actions but I really liked getting a glance at your butt in those tight briefs of yours.'
Ethan blushed as he read the last part. He placed the letter back neatly and closed the box.
"So these are letters directed to me about your life? Why would you give me these, they must be precious." He held the box to his chest with a small smile.
"I just wanted you to have them. To be able to understand how I felt through these past months." Aaron gnawed on his bottom lip and kicked at a small pebble.
"Thank you Aaron. Not only for this but thank you for everything." Ethan smiled and tilted his head looking towards the sky a little.
"If you and your friends hadn't bullied me I probably wouldn't have found the love of my life." Aaron smiled weakly, it pained him to hear that.
His body defied him and let tears fall. They rushed down like a slow motion waterfall.
Ethan's eyes widened in shock. He didn't know why Aaron started crying and he didn't like the fact that he was.
"Aaron are you okay?" Ethan took a step forward to see but that resulted in Aaron taking one back.
"I-I'm fine. I've got to go. Bye." Aaron turned to go but Ethan grabbed his sleeve before he could run off.
