He was not fond of early mornings, so the caffeine in his coffee was a good friend to him. He went up early so he could stop by the library before he left for work. Even this hour of the day the streets were crowded. He liked just being one in the crowd, everyone minding their own business.
There were not many people in the library. The library had this aurora of comfortableness and calmness. It was a nice get away from the stress and loudness. He went up the stairs to see if the girl was here yet, and she was. It was like she never left yesterday. She was already deep down in her studies. He walked across the room to sit far away from her so could not notice him, but near enough for him to see her.
He had brought his favorite book. He read the book while taking glances at her every now and then. Just as last night she did not notice him, too deep in thought. It drove him crazy, he wanted to know what was going on in her head. He had no clue how he could approach her.
The time went by and he had to leave soon, but he did not want to.
She did not notice her poem book until she was just about to leave. She most have been too caught up when she came here. When she picks it up a piece of paper falls out. She crinkles her nose and frowns, not remembering leaving a note in the book. She picked it up from the floor and read it.
I would've returned the book to you, but since i don't know you i found it quite hard. so i left it here in hope you would reunite with each other. i am glad you did forget it tho, this book opened my eyes for poetry on a whole new level.
Cheers, H.It brought a smile to her face, it kind of flattered her. She looked around the room to see if there were any signs who this mystery person could be, but there was none. She folded the note and put it in her bag. Another idea flew to mind, she turned back to her spot.
She ripped out a piece of paper from her notepad and ripped it in half. She wrote two notes back. One to leave on table and one in a book on the shelfs.
hi H! look for the poem book in the shelfs on the left side.
x MShe left the note on the table and the other one in the same poem book as hers. She left the library with a smile and in hope the boy or girl would find her notes.
He saw that she left and it was actually time for him to leave too. He walked past her spot when he caught a glance of a note on the table. He was too curious to just ignore it. He unfolded the paper and read it. He was caught by surprise, it was for him. She had responded him, he did not expect that.
He eyed through the shelfs for the book but did not find it. He started to grow impatient. His phone started vibrating in his pocket.
"Harry speaking." He answered casually.
"Harry this is the fourth time you are late. I'll have to fire you if you keep up with this behavior." His boss did not sound very happy, but it was true he had been late everyday now. He is not a morning person and coffee does not seam to work anymore.
He rushed out of the library and down the streets. Pushing through people while trying to keep his tempo up. He got a few annoyed glances, but he was to stressed to care right now. He needed this job. The money to pay his rent, bills and all those kind of stuff you need to survive in this thing called humanity.
When he arrived to the bakery, his boss was not too pleased. She stood behind the disk waiting for him to arrive.
"Good morning Eve! I am sorry for being late, but i have not managed to get enough sleep last past few nights." He tries to play the pity card on the old lady behind the disk.
"Harry love, you can't keep up with this. Also it would be a pity for me to fire you, the costumers loves you and your charm." The old lady looks worriedly at him. "Okay young boy, get to work. I do not pay you for nothing."
The book hidden among other books bugged him. He wanted to know what she wanted to show or say to him.
