Max's POV
When Max stepped out from behind the bookcase the girl, Alesa was there with Mel of course. They were room-mates after all. Max though. Alesa was like no other girl Max has ever seen. She was tall with dark black hair like the night sky. And her skin was the color of melted milk chocolate. Her eyes were the same color a tree close to autumn, a mix of brown and green. Their own kind of hazel. " Hello Alesa." Max said looking at her. " Mel he said turning to Mel and nodded his head. " Well Alesa, you were right about The Mortal Instruments." Max said walking over to the couch. Mell scooted over and Max sat down taking the bowl of popcorn.
" Wait.... what.... um.... how?" Alesa stuttered. " How did you do that?"
" We have a lot to tell you Alesa." Mel said looking at Max like they new stuff she didn't. Which they did.
" Mel I thought you said that the only Max you know works at Starbucks?" Alesa said, looking over at Mel.
" I do work at Starbucks," Max said grabbing the remote. " But before we explane all of this I want to see this episode. Mel why did you start without me?"
" I was bored, sorry." Mel said grabbing a handful of popcorn.
" What.... you know what I am not even going to ask." Alesa said crossing her arms and looking at the TV. Max rewinded back to the beginning, which wasn't far.
When the episode was done Mel and Alesa were in happy tears. Max was smiling so big that his face started to hurt.
" Next Episode?" he asked looking at both Mel and Alesa.
" No." Alesa and Mel said in unison.
" I still have no idea what is going on. Who are you. How did you get here.?" Alesa said, sitting up wiping her eyes and turned to face them.
" Well lets see where to start?" Max said setting the empty bowl of popcorn on the coffee table.
" We aren't who you think we are. You aren't who you think you are." Mel said standing up to look at Max and Alesa.
" Yeah. Also there is a whole world that you can only get to by certain bookcases. Max said scooting to the other end of the couch and pulled his legs up and sat cross legged, facing Alesa.
" And you guys are from that world?" Alesa asked looking from Max to Mel and back to Max.
" Yes and you are too." Max said.
