Let's get into the story,
Saakshi let out a heart-wrenching scream—“Shivu!”—before her knees gave way and she collapsed to the ground, unconscious.
Anjali gasped, her body already trembling from panic, now spiraling into deeper shock. “Saakshi!” she cried, rushing to her side. The sight of Saakshi lying still on the ground made her heart thud painfully.
Before she could even catch her breath, she dropped beside Saakshi and cupped water in her palm from a bottle someone nearby handed her. Gently, she sprinkled it on Saakshi’s face.
“Saakshi… wake up... please…”
After a moment, Saakshi stirred slightly, her lashes fluttering, lips trembling.
And in a broken, barely audible voice, she murmured, “...Shivu…”
Anjali felt her throat tighten. There was no time for tears—only strength. They had to hold on, just a little longer.
The world had blurred into fragments for Saakshi. Her mind couldn’t process anything clearly — except the echo of one name thudding in her chest.
Shivu.
Her voice had cracked screaming it.
And now, she lay slumped on the garden tiles, half-conscious, lips trembling with guilt as she whispered his name over and over.
“Shivu… Shivu I’m sorry… please come back…”
Anjali fumbled for her phone with her hands shaking uncontrollably and quickly dialed Aadhi.
Anjali: Aadhi…Shivu. ..Shivu
Aadhi confused and alarmed hearing her.
Aadhi: Anjali ennachu, first calm agitu sollu
(Anjali, what happened? First, calm down and then tell me)
Anjali: Our Shivu fell into the nearby borewell please come quickly
she choked out.
“Tell Shravan to come home immediately. But—don’t tell him about Shivu. Not yet. He won’t handle it. Please.”
Moments passed.
Then the unmistakable roar of a car pierced the silence.
It halted with a screech. The gates flung open.
Shravan.
And right behind him, Arjun and Mugen.
He hadn’t even turned off the ignition properly — he just ran.
His eyes darted around wildly — until he saw the crowd, the borewell, the tension painted on everyone’s faces.
He stopped mid-run, panting, heart thudding out of rhythm.
And then… it hit him.
The open borewell.
The absence of Shivu.
The chaos.
His breath caught, and in the next instant, he broke.
“Shivu!!!” he screamed, lunging forward.
“Shivu, where are you?!!”
His knees hit the dirt as he dropped beside the borewell, tears streaming freely, panic choking his voice.
