I, I'm drivin black on black

Just got my license back I got this feeling in my veins this train is coming off the tracks!

I'll ask polite if the devil needs a ride because the ang-

"Uggg" I groaned as I shut off my Nickelback alarm. I can't believe how annoying that song is now, I used to love it, I did that unthinkable thing: I ruined a song by using it as an alarm. It's finally the first day of my senior year, I seriously don't want to get out of my nice warm bed.

After about a half hour of trying to convince myself that I need to do this I finally get up and into a shower after picking out a pair of skinny jeans, a cute grey off-the-shoulder top and some black heeled ankle boots. I thew on some simple eyeliner and mascara, grabbed my bag and drove to school.

I arrived only about three minutes later, living in a small town means everything is at most five minutes away. As soon as i get out of my '67 Chevy Impala, my attention is instantly drawn to a cherry red 2015 Rubicon about five spaces down from me, must be a new kid, that's a teachers space.

When I walk into the seniors' hall the first thing I do is look for my gorgeous boyfriend Tyler, I miss his dirty blonde hair and amazingly intense blue eyes. And where else would I find him other than the "designated" football corner, he and the other players always hung out there before school in the mornings. As embarrassing as I like to be, I walked right through their group, grabbed his face and smashed mine against it, causing all of his friends to laugh and tease him, just how I liked it.

After I embarrassed him a little more I walked away and found my best friend Alex rummaging through her locker. She always has the best ideas for her hair, today it was a loose curl with a braided crown matched with a floral romper and come cork wedges, amazing. I sneaked up behind her and grabbed her sides very gently, just enough to scare the hell out of her, causing her to turn around and almost hit me until she realized it was just me and suffocated me in a hug that could kill a dragon.

"Dude I missed you so much! Why didn't we hangout more, I miss my Lilly time?!" She squealed in my ear.

"Well lets see, I spent the whole summer babysitting my cousins and you had an actual job, so I think that might have something to do with it." I say sarcastically, giving her my signature side smirk. After the small reunion ended, we checked our schedules to see what classes we would have together, we ended up having 1st period math, 3rd period chemistry, 4th period PE, and 7th period English together.

We here the bell and head off to find room 210 for our math class. The first thing we see is a seating arrangement on the smart board, are you kidding me?! What do we look like, 8th graders?! This is so unfair, plus, I have to sit in the center of the room, literally!! This its the absolute worst place to sit, no one can concentrate in this spot, everyone around here is so annoying! I finally stopped complaining about my spot to Alex and let her go find her own. When I heard the door close and some girls giggle I thought there might be a new student, I didn't really care so i kept looking through my drawings and adding a few minor details here and there until I heard someone talking to the class so I decided i should probably pay attention. I had heard that we were getting a new math teacher but I completely forgot about it until now, so when I looked up into the face of my brother's childhood friend Blake, I was at a complete loss for words, I knew he had graduated college and got a job teaching, but I had no idea it was here.

"Ah, miss Mason, so glad you finally decided to pay attention, I knew I could always count on that little brain of yours." This was the first time I had head his voice since he left for college four years ago, and it is still the most mesmerizing thing I've ever heard. "So, what's your answer?"

I didn't even realize he'd asked me anything, I was distracted by the familiar blue eyes staring back at me. "Sorry could you repeat the question?" I asked, trying to hide the blush creeping into my cheeks.

"I've already asked three different people, the correct answer was already given, I just wanted to know if you were paying attention or not. I guess not, oh and I'd like to talk to you during lunch if that's okay with you." He said with a little grin.

"Actually I've already got plans for lunch but thanks for the offer," I said, remembering our little sarcasm battles.

"Well then I guess you'll just have to change those now won't you? It wasn't a suggestion." This earned him a few "oohs" and some snickers from the rest of the class.

"Well if it means that much to you, then who am I to deny an adoring fan?" With this I gave him my signature bitchy smirk.

With that he went back to the front of the room and continued his lesson on the quadratic equation or something like that, I went back to drawing because I'm sure it wasn't that important, I learned this last year.

The bell finally rang signalling my freedom, for five minutes, I walked out and gave Blake, sorry, Mr. Anderson, a little smirk paired with a wave. The rest of my classes were pretty boring, the only eventful thing that happened was hitting Bitch-toria, I mean Victoria, in the face during doctor ball, damn that felt good. So eventually lunch rolls around and I have to explain to Tyler why I can't go out to lunch with him.

"I wasn't paying attention and got into this little sarcasm battle with Bl-M-Mr. Anderson so now I have to stay in his class for lunch," I can't believe I almost called him Blake in front of Tyler, he'd think that something was going on.

"Well fine but you owe me, and I'm going to collect," Tyler said with a wink.

"Well I'm not sure you'd like my form of payment, I hear I can be a bit rude," I replied returning his wink.

And off I went in the direction of room 210 for the second time that day.
