Chapter 37

Sophia's POV:

When we enter the restaurant I see my old guy best friend. I go up to him and I ask him "Are you Matthew?" And he responds with a yes.

I ask him " You don't recognize me don't you?" He says "Sophia?! Yes you are Sophia. Omg long time no see, I missed you so much!"

We both hug each other and then Cameron comes and fake coughs. And I tell him " Oh sorry this is my best friend from elementary and we haven't seen each other in years." I introduced each other.

He came with his family so we exchanged numbers so that we could hang out soon. Then the waitress comes and gives us a table for Cam and me.

The waitress was a pretty teenage girl. And I think that Cameron caught her eye. But I don't think that Cameron noticed because he was too busy looking at the menu.

After we ordered the waitress left and I started laughing. Cam said what's so funny and I told him " That girl was totally hitting on you but you were too busy looking at the menu."

He said "No she wasn't and even if she was I already have my eye on someone." He told me smirking. I just chuckled because I didn't know what to say.

Oh and I felt like if I was jealous when he told me he already had his eye on someone. I was curious who she was but I wasn't going to ask. Idk why I felt jealous if I just met him and we're just friends, right? My thoughts went crazy.

After we finished eating our delicious food we left and I thought he was going to take me home but he didn't. We were going a different way and I got kinda scared and asked him " Cam where are we going?"

He replied "Calm down beautiful you'll see we're almost there." He said it so calm and relaxed. Like 10 minutes later we arrived at the beach.

The sun was setting and the view looked beautiful. I couldn't help it so I took a picture and as I was taking the picture I hear another camera click. I turn and see that Cameron also took a picture.

So I tell him "The view is beautiful right?" And he tells me "Not as beautiful as you, look." And he shows me a picture of me taking a picture of the sunset. I blush.
