Part seven

They all sat around the bed and a faint beeping sound filled the room. All of the people Linn had cared for, and had just met were there for her. Garret held rosie close and he breathed in a fast rythmic pattern that Rosie seemed to find comforting. Hades sat next to the bed holding one of Linn's hands. Kace and ren snuggled together and were trying to sleep. Ren slept fitfully and breathed at a normal rate, wich was wrong for him. Kace tried to confort him, and Ren tucked his head into the crook of kace's neck. Kace let out a bit of a grunt. Hades laughed a bit and shook his head. Mama and Ma sat quietly talking. Linn was pale and sick looking. It had been three days since linn had been concious, even in a changed form. It was about eight at night and everyone was getting ready to sleep. Two nurses came up and changed Linn's breathing machines and IVs over. They checked her response time and looked for signs of self preservation. Linn was not able to breathe on her own and was basically in a coma, excepting the fact that every time Hades or Garret walked in Linn looked a bit better. It was an instantaneous change. Hades would work on her neck and the damage caused by the glass. He touched Linn's face lightly, leaning in he kissed her cheek and saw a single tear fall down her face. He wiped it away and touched her arm. He moved the johnny and looked at my shoulder. She had a large welt with a rather pointy shard of glass. The glass reached from her shoulder to the other side of her chest near her heart. He yelled gor a nurse and pressed Linn's panic button. Multiple nurses and doctors came runnung in. They gave him a look of disgust but then he showed them. How had no one seen this when the nurses put the johny on?

I know i havn't said exactly who i am yet. My name is lilly1171 and im Linn's little sister. We do like everything together and when i ealked in the room all i could smell was wet dog and sterilisers. I was in California to look at a boarding school, and when i heard that linn had been hospitalised i booked it here. No not on a plain either that would be too simple. I have already been a werewolf for a few years, when i changed i left because mom wouldn't believe it. I mean she didn't even know dad was a werewolf. I wasn't about to break the news to her either. I felt a stab when i saw Linn she looked so sick and lifeless. Pushing my hood back i fixed my hair and walked in. It was close to midnight already. Hades gave me an overinthusiastic smile, wich i returned. I looked around and saw everyone from the group i used to hang around with and i felt my heart sink. Zoey wasn't there. Hades returnd his attention to Linn and lifted the arm sleeve of the johny. He started freaking out nand hit the panick button. This is the second time he hit the panick button and doctors came rushing in. The line that went to her heart was now purple and the doctors rushed her away. They wouldn't let any of us follow and it scared me. Was she refusing the change? Did she even knkw that was an option. I tried to follow them bht they told me she might die. I literally collapsed in the hall and i felt a strong set of hands on my shoulders. Hades helped me up and we walked outside. It was pouring still and i hated when the weather was like this. It really bothered me when the rain happened durring sad times. I changed and ran toward the small bit of woods. I climbed a bit up the tree and sat there waiting for Hades to follow. He was always fast and it didn't dawn on me, until he cleared his throat he was sitting above me. He climbed down gracefully. Sitting next to me he wrapped a solid arm around me and gave me his jacket.
"You know Lilly, shes gonna make it if shes anything like you." Hades said. He whipped around and jumped out if the tree bearing extended canines.
"Relax, it's just the pack" i said quietly and waved a hand.
"Creeping around isn't a good idea near him guys and you know it" Kace said and punched Hades shoulder. Garret stepped forward and changed.
He let out a loud howl followed by all of us and we changed it was hunting time. I really wished that Linn was with us. We tracked a herd of deer and all of us tore them apart like it was our job. I really didn't remember any of our problems until we went back to the hospital. We dried up a bit in the woods and headed back. We looked like a pack even if we were not if pack form. Each of us had somone except me and Hades. But i knew he really was in love with Linn. Ha that would literally never happen. She a huge friging lesbian!!!! It wouldn't happen even if she was asleep. We walked up to the door and were greeted by a swarm of security officers. They asked up what we were dooing and if we had a patient to see. They patted us down and then let us go. We went into the room and waited for Linn to come back. Garret changed and layed down in the corner. Rosie curled up and used him as a pillow. I sat in a corner and set my head down on my arms. I started crying and shaking. Ren and Kace sat on either side of me and tried to comfort me. The doctors were walking down the hallway and rosie woke Garret up. We all sat close together, and waited for the news. I looked up at Hades who was obviously nervous. His legs were shaking and his eyes glowed red. He was on the verge of changing and i wanted him to relax. I got up and crossed the room. I sat on his lap and he gave me a wierd look. It was a mix between pity and happiness. He hugged me a bit too tight but i liked the preasuse. The doctor walked in and adressed us all.
"Lilly?" The doctor asked.
I waved my hand and the doctor asked me to step outside and speak with him.
"There all family too whatever it is you can say it with them here."
"She is healing at a very fast pace i'm afraid she has picked up an auto imune disease."
"She didn't it runs in the family, all of us have over productive healing abilities." I forgot this wasn't our hospital. They didn't believe in our kind. The doctor eyed me and i felt my canines extent and the doctor went wide eyed. He turned and walked out. I felt hades breathing on my neck and he wispered.
"Down kitten" he made sure i heard him and then he leaned in to my neck and kissed me. I felt my breath hitch and he kissed me again.
"You know i was sad when you left, it hasn't been the same without you pet" he said. I was confused he looked like he really wanted Linn but he was attaching himself to me. I wasn't complaning because Hades was my crush since i was little. They wheeled Linn back in and there was no breathing machine with her. She had a wrap on, so her chest was exposed but her female apendages were covered. She looked so much better. It turns out that the glass shattered because of her internal temperature. Not a sipprise but now she had 27 stitches from her right shoulder to where her heart was. They had butterfly stitches on it too interchanges with the black stitches. It was odd how much she seemed at peace. I stood up and gave her a kiss on her forehead. As i leaned in she smiled and i saw the scar on her neck. I looked at hades and he made a biting gesture and motioned to Garret. I felt myself get really angry and before i could change Garret held me still. He leaned down and kissed the top of my head. It was really wierd how all of the men in the pack were over 6'4. I looked up and he kissed my nose then my mouth. I felt better and heard Kace and Ren both say somthing.
"Get a room" Kace and Ren chorused together.
I blushed and Hades sat back down. I sat sideways on his lap. Mama and Mum walked in holding two trays each with coffees. They handed them out and set one next to Linn too.
"I need to go smoke" Mama said and i was shocked.
"I've got some cigarettes" Mum said and asked if we were joining. We all shrugged and stayed. I made a prommise to myself.
"She can't be left alone. She's gonna go crazy if she can't feel somone here. Remember when i broke my neck and i changed and almost killed myself. Im not about to let her do that to herself. We all nodded and tried to get comfortable enough to sleep. I curled up in Hades arms and tucked my face into his neck. The familiar smell of the pack made me smile. He held me tight and covered me up with his jacket again. Given pack animals don't get cold but, our human forms do. One of the nurses had sugested that we move to the waiting area with fold out beds but we all refused. It was not an option to leave. Mama and Mum came back and we told them to go to the waiting room. They protested but Garret and Hades looked at their Mum and said she needed to go. I looked at Mama and told her Linn wouldn't want her to be uncomfortable because of Linn's actions. She nodded slowly and i called for a nurse. They got Mama and Mum blankets and a few pillows. They left and all of us did the dame thing. We locked the door changed and fell asleep next to their mates and i fell asleep next to my (hopefully) soon to be mate. I really hoped he was serious and not just messing with me. He smelled like me and i felt like he was marking me without using his teeth, like inprinting. Just as i fell asleep i jumped up because Linn moved.

I opened my eyes and saw everyone from the pack had come and Mum and Mama were there too i could feel it. I looked at Hades and smiled my little sister lilly was standing staring wide eyed at me. Even when she had just been scared shitless she was pretty. Her hair fell effortlessly in beautifup spirals. She was petite, but she was tough. I smiled and she came over to me. She gave me a huge hug, and i felt tears run down her face. Hades kicked garret amd everyone was up because Garret let out a low growl and bared extended canines.
"Hey relax" i said weakly and instantly Garret stopped. He stood up and looked at me wide eyed and smiled hugely. He leaned down and gave me a hug that kinda hurt.
"Jeebus bro" i said and he let me go. The doctors came in and i laughed a little as one of them leaned down to talk with me and stuck his butt in Hades face. Hades seemed a but pissed but Lilly went back and sat with him and made the doctor move. We waited a few hours and i was starving.
"Mama" i whined "im really hungry and im gonna die if i don't get food soon." She told me that if i pressed a button the nurse would come im and get me food. I went to move and realised that my shoulder and chest hurt really bad. I winced in pain and everything went blurry.
