How it all started

Jayla

Leaving her university, she made her way down the street not paying attention to where she was going, she accidentally bumps into someone, she fell on the ground.

"Oww." She groaned "Oh I'm so sorry." She helped the other person up from the ground.

"Its fine, I'm sorry too." He said, they both bend down to pick their phones up not noticing which phone they were picking up.

"Well see ya." He said before running down the street and turning a corner.

"Weird." She whispered, she adjusted her bag and continued to walk down to her apartment complex.

Entering her small apartment which only had 1 room, 1 bathroom, a fairly sizeable living room and a medium size kitchen.

She set her bag down in the couch and walked over to her kitchen, taking ingredients out of the fridge to make herself some fried shrimp.

After eating, she decided to finish her essay for her university professor. Jayla may not be rich but she grew up living a happy life with a lot of cheerful kids surrounding her and that alone makes her day.

Typing away on her laptop, she paused when she heard her phone ringing.

"When did I change my ringtone?" She questioned, she looked at the caller ID to see it was a private number.

"Hello?"

"Hi! I think we switched phones by accident." The person said and she recognized his voice as the male she had bumped into hours earlier.

"Oh I am so sorry, that's why the ringtone was different." She said shaking her head.

He chuckled " Its alright, how about we meet up tomorrow say 12 pm to switch our phones back at Luigi's?"

"Yes that would be lovely, once again I am so sorry." She said.

"Its alright, uh well see you tomorrow."

"You too."

She put the phone down on the table staring at it, she flicked her forehead asking herself how did this happen?

She continued on with her essay since it was due tomorrow morning. Finishing up, she saved it in multiple places and then fell asleep on her couch.

Leaving her university, she made her way down the street to catch a cab to Luigi's.

"Thank you." She said politely to the man and handed him the money.

"Anytime young lady, be careful."

"You too." She said smiling softly at him.

She waited at a table for the guy to show up with her phone, she was drawing in her sketchbook when someone sat down across from her.

"Hi." She said quietly, he gave her a curt nod and slid her phone across the table.

"Thank you, and here's yours." She said handing him his phone.

She got up ready to leave when he asked her to sit down.

"So what's your name?" He asked her, she smiled.

"Jayla, and you?"

"Jaxon." She giggled.

"What?" He asked thinking she had found out his identity.

"I didn't think your name would start with a J, you look more like a Keith guy." She said, he chuckled.

"I've always thought that too." He said winking at her, she let out a small giggle.

"I should apologize for yesterday." He said, she shook her head.

"No it was my fault also, I'm a klutz and sometimes I doze off without paying attention to my surroundings. One time I almost got ran over by a taxi cad cause I was thinking about getting a cat or dog." She said, he stared at her ridiculously.

"You're kidding right?" He said, she shook her head.

"So what did you get a cat or a dog?"

"Neither, I forgot all about it when I almost got ran over." She said giggling.

"Here are your drinks, ma'am, sir." The waiter said giving them their sweet teas.

"Seems like you also like sweet tea." He said, she nodded and took a sip of her drink.

They chatted a bit more until his phone started buzzing, he tried ignoring it but she kept telling him to answer it so eventually he did.

"Jaxon you have a shoot in 20 minutes." His manager barked.

He sighed rubbing his forehead "Alright I'll be there." He said then hung up on his manager.

"Everything alright?" She asked softly, he looked towards her and shook his head.

"I'm really sorry Angel, but my work is calling me." He said, she nodded standing up.

"Its alright, it was nice meeting you. I had fun today." She said smiling at him.

"I had fun too." He said, he backtracked he couldn't believe he said that but it was true, she was able to make his laugh and he forgot all bout his work.

"Here gimme your number." He said, she seemed hesitant.

"Please?" He asked politely, she smiled nodding and giving him her phone number, he gave his phone number to her before he left.

She stared at her phone as she walked down the street to her apartment. It binged.

Jaxon- Hi Angel."

Jayla- Hi to you too Mr. Jaxon

Jaxon- You make me sound old.

Jayla- You mean your not I though you were 30 something. Haha

Jaxon- Hurtful

Jayla- I'm joking. Anyways what are you doing?

Jaxon- Going to a business party, how about you Angel?"

Jayla- Home. Gonna cook and do my homework.

Jaxon- Aww, I'm sorry Angel I have to go, have a good night.

Jayla- You too. Nighty Night.
