Chapter 1: Lapis......

Peridot's P.O.V.

It was a cold dark night in space on the ship. Jasper was on patrol, which left me to run the security cameras. Good thing, I do have a kind of talent with gem tech. The job was still about as interesting as a square. The only part I like about it is checking in on lapis. I'm not sure why but I just is. I know jasper would beat the gem off of me if I told her it's my favorite part. I flipped through the cameras about 5 times each when I stopped at lapis's room's camera. She was.....dancing? I haven't seen her do that yet. Most of the time she'd be on the bed messing with her wings or doing something humans call "sleeping". I watched for a while until I saw her fall on her arm and cry out in pain. She laid on the ground crying for awhile until I couldn't take it anymore. 'This is a bad idea, peridot.' A part of me kept saying. But the other part of me was saying, 'do it!!! she needs help!'. I decided to help her so I hacked into the security system and shut all the cameras off. If jasper came in here I could just tell her it shut off by itself and I went to go see what was wrong. I came on the microphone that went to lapis's room. "Lapis? Can you hear me?" I asked to make sure it was working.

"Yes."

"Good. Look, I saw you fall and I'm coming to help you. Don't tell anyone I'm doing this or I'm gonna be fired. I'm coming over now."

"Thank you......."

I ended the call. "Your welcome" I said to myself.
