Chapter 2: Thank You.....

Lapis's P.O.V.

'I can't believe it!!! Peridot actually cares about me? I don't know if this is a trick or not. Should I trust her or not? I don't know but I think I hear someone coming down the hall.' My door opened softly and peridot came in with a wet cloth, ointment, and some bandages. She quietly walked over to me. "Lapis, I'm gonna help you to your bed and then you need to show me your cut, okay?" She said while picking me up and setting me on my bed. I glanced at her face and noticed she was blushing, which me blush a little bit.

"Okay show me where you're hurt." She looked me over and I showed her my deeply cut arm. She gently held it and dabbed it with the cloth. It stung a little but I ignored it. For some reason as soon as she walked in in I had a feeling I haven't felt in a long time. I felt....at home and safe. I started to worry if jasper would see the bandage peridot was wrong around my arm but then remembered she doesn't pay any attention to me. And she trusts peridot 100%. As soon as she was done she layed me down. "How does it feel? Does it hurt?" She asked me, carefully laying me down.

"It doesn't hurt much anymore. You didn't have to....."

"I'll come back tomorrow night and see how you're holding up." She interrupted me and got up to leave.

"Wait, peridot....." She turned her attention back to me. "Thank you so much."

"Don't mention it." She said and left my room.
