So if you guys get done with your assignments and want to venture out and try something new here is a little writing exercise/ contest!
I have recently watched the new Terminator and also noticed we don't have a lot of Science fiction writers in the group, and thought it would be interesting to see people branch out of their comfort zone.
So I won't exactly give a prompt to go by, but give you certain details to throw into a short story.
1.) the world is being over run by robots who are out to end man kind.
2.) must have an action scene or a small tid bit of action in it.
3.) your MC is trying to keep the human race alive
4.) must be third person point of view
5.) correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
6.) maximum word count can't go over 20,000 words, you can choose to write it in chapters or one full story as long as it doesn't exceed the word amount above.
7.) when finished post a link or say you are finished on this chapter with its titles name so I can find it and anyone else who would like to read it.
END DATE: 8/19/15. That gives you two weeks to venture out of your comfort zone if you want to brave a new adventure. :)
I'll choose the winner and post the winner on 8/20/15, and I'll leave you with your choice of winnings! :D
