Chapter 1.)

Lucy's P.O.V

"Natsu! Get. Off. Now." I said through clenched teeth as I try to pry Natsu's death grip off of me. I froze in shock when he mumbled "I love..Lucy.." In his sleep. I felt heat rise to my cheeks as I shook those thoughts from my head. 'Must be another Lucy.' I thought to myself as I stood up off the bed. I went to the fridge and pulled out bacon, eggs, and toast as happy walks up. "Good morning Lucy, I saw you and Natsu sleeping together again," he teased.

"Stupid cat." I mumbled as I blushed heavily. I start frying the bacon and cooking the eggs, and what do you know. As soon as the smell of food reaches Natsu's nose, he was up in a flash. "Is Lucy cooking?" He asked with a smile. "Yeah flame brain." I responded with a 'tsk'. I finished the food and sat in the chair next to Natsu, watching him pig out on his food. I wasn't hungry today so it didn't matter really.

"We should do a job today." I suggested as Happy and Natsu finished their food. "Sure. Since you offered, you pick the job." Happy stated. I rolled my eyes and sighed. "Why not." I just couldn't stop thinking about what Natsu said in his sleep this morning.

'I..love..Lucy.' His words rang clearly in my head. For some reason the though of it being another girl made me angry.

'Stop it Lucy!' I though to myself and got up from the table, along with Natsu and Happy. Happy winked at me as I walked out of the door, grabbing my keys in the process. We were walking down the streets of Magnolia, heading towards the guild.

When we reached the guild, it was unusually calm and peaceful. Erza glanced up at me along with Levy, Juvia, Gajeel, Gray, and many other members. Erza went back to eating her cake after sending me a wink, earning Gray smirking at me and Levy giggling. I felt heat rise to my cheeks as I sat down next to Erza, Natsu sitting across from me.

His Onyx orbs were staring into my eyes, almost as if staring into my soul. I didn't mind though; they were just that beautiful. My thoughts were cut short by MiraJane clearing her throat. 'Way to ruin the moment.' I said to myself with a sigh, earning a giggling Levy.

"Juvia thinks Lucy likes Natsu." Juvia stated. Out of the corner of my eye, I swear I saw pyro blushing, earning a chuckle from Erza whom nodded approvingly. "W-what? N-no..I.." I was at a loss for words, causing me to stutter.

"Alright, lets go get a job." Natsu said, desperately trying to change the subject. "Yeah." I agreed as we both stood up from the table and headed over to the board in search for our job.

I found a job that pays 2,000,000 gems, and it seems fairly easy. The paper read.

Job: Lifeguard.

Location: Clover Town.

People Needed: Six. (Preferably More.)

Pay: 2,000,000 Gems. (A piece.)

Me and Natsu agreed on the job, walking over to Erza, Jallel, Juvia, Gray, and the others. "We have a job, we need your guys's help with." I said. Everyone looks at each other and shrugs, waiting for me too continue. "It apparently pays 2,000,000 gems a piece, and all we have to do is be lifegaurds at a beach." I finished, everyone stared at me in shock. "Well of course we are gonna go!" They all said in unison.

We all started talking about random things. Somehow ending in Natsu and Gray arguing, per the usual.

"Pyro!"

"Ice princess!"

"Flame brain!"

Before you knew it, punches were being thrown and the brawl was on. Joy. Note the sarcasm. Eventually Erza got tired of it, standing up and shouting, making everyone tremble in fear.

"STOP IT! THE BOTH OF YOU!" As soon as she said that, they froze and backed away from each other, holding their hands up in surrender. Natsu hides behind me, causing me to sidestep and shake my head. "I am not getting caught in the wrath of Erza! I don't have some fucking death wish!" I said, glaring at him like I do whenever he robs my fridge.

No one realized that during the brawl, Erza's cake got squished, except me. When she looked over and saw it, she became beyond pissed. She picked up Gray and Natsu, flinging them all the way across the guild with ease.

She gave a satisfied smile when she heard their pained groans, causing everyone to flinch. Noticing it was becoming nightfall, I decided to head home. "Bye Guys, I'll see you tomorrow morning for the job," I said and waved everyone goodbye.

About thirty minutes later, I arrived at home. I got there rather late because I was walking slowly, admiring the veiw. I reached the familiar doors of my apartment and walked in, shutting the door and locking it. I didn't feel like showering. So instead I flopped down on my bed and fell fast asleep.
