"What?!" My parents exclaim. I squeeze my eyes shut; I can't bear to look at Killian's face. He doesn't like to talk about his former ship
"Is he serious?" Mary Margaret says, gesturing at Killian. David is looking at him with his eyebrows raised, almost in an impressed way.
"You gave up your ship-your home, for Emma?" David asks. He looks at Killian in almost a confused yet impressed way, Mary Margaret do the same. Neal hasn't made a sound, I realize he's asleep.
David slowly approaches Killian, then does something completely unexpected. He hugs him.
"Mate, what are you doing?" Asks Killian, clearly puzzled. I don't know if I should laugh or not. This is a sight I'd never think I'd see.
"I know how hard it is, giving up your home. Different circumstances and conditions, of course, yet giving up home for the people you love all the same." David turns to look at Mary Margaret and smiles. "Especially for someone as prickly as Emma."
"I can hear you, you know?!" I say as Killian and David laugh. Mary Margaret chuckles but then acts like she didn't. I can't help but giggle a bit myself.
"Well, we've got to get this little bugger into his crib, he's been grumpy all day." David says, mentioning to Neal. My parents, Killian, and I say our goodbyes and me and Killian sit back down in our booth.
"Now, where were we?" Killian asks seductively, a single eyebrow raised. I can't help but giggle whenever he does that. I quickly check my phone-9:21 AM. I need to be at the Sheriff's station by ten, so I've got more time to spend with Killian. I take a sip of my hot chocolate before I lean across the table again. But I don't have to lean much-Killian's already there, waiting for me.
