"Emma?!" Mary Margaret gasps.
"Hook." David says grimly. My parents are staring at Killian and I, both in complete shock. David's arms are crossed across his chest and staring at Killian like he wants to pick him up and throw him off the clock tower. Neal is in one of those baby carrier things where it's like the baby is just strapped against the parent's chest. One of those things, I don't know what they're called. Anyways, Mary Margaret is wearing one.
"See?! I told you, David! Ha! You owe me twenty five bucks!" Mary Margaret exclaims, clapping her hands. Neal giggles. My brain can hardly process what's happening, and when I look back at Killian I can tell he's trying not to laugh.
"Damn it." David sighs and pulls out a twenty and a five from his back pocket.
"Were...were you two betting on whether or not Killian and I were in a solid relationship?" I ask, standing up, quite startled. It wasn't like them to bet money on things. Or maybe it was, I've only known them for three years-who knows what they did before they had me. I feel a hand gently rest on my shoulder, and as I glance behind me Killian comes into focus.
"Well, Mrs. Mary Margaret, looks like you've won the bet!" Killian laughs. He pulls me into a hug, and I return the favor.
"So, what are you guys doing here?" I ask my parents, turning away from Killian but leaving one hand intertwined with his. I notice both of them staring at it.
"Emma, we live here." David says, breaking his view from Killian's and my hands and looking into my eyes.
"Oh. Right." I say as I stare down at the floor and blush.
"So, Hook, how's the Jolly Roger? I haven't seen it in the harbors." Mary Margaret asks casually. My head turns like an owl towards Killian. I see his face fall.
"Well, after I left your little caravan in the Enchanted Forest after Pan's curse, I found the Jolly Roger I had to win it back from a pirate known as Blackbeard who had somehow gotten possession of it. Afterwards, I resumed my old life. However, when I got the message to bring back Emma to Storybrooke, I was able to get a magic bean and find Emma, and you know the rest." Killian stated. I looked up at him with pity in my eyes. He had given up his home for over two hundred years for me. I still couldn't wrap my head around that.
"How were you able to come across a magic bean?" David asked, crossing his arms over his chest again.
"I traded a very precious item." Killian answered.
"If you don't mind me asking, what exactly did you trade?" Mary Margaret asked. Killian took a deep breath before answering. I squeeze his hand, and he returns the favor.
"The Jolly Roger." Killain simply stated, his brow creased in what I identified as sadness. Mary Margaret and David gasped.
