"She's your relative...That kunoichi you admire so much, she's our relative so please...Find her and she'll help you..Go now! You must hurry! Go!"
...
'How many hours have I been running?'Thought one thirteen year old boy who was currently running in the forest in the middle of the night.
'How can I even find her? Does she even know me?'He thought.
Anxious and afraid and nowhere to go for the night, his only shelter were his coat to make himself warm.
Hours later, exhaustion took over his body causing him to dropped in his knees panting.
He wanted to cry so badly but he restrained himself, in the end he cried, fresh tears coming out from his emerald green eyes.
"Why does it have to happen?"He said between his sobs.
"For centuries ever since Madara's betrayal and the greed for power, we hid for many years. We Harunos, are different from any other clan, our strength and power aren't measured by whole but by individual. It's because the 'Gift' makes our strength stronger than anyone."
"But...Being in the family, we're constantly hunted until now because of our power that's why we are hidden until now."
"It just shows that, we are kept in the cage and the humiliation of being the prey to them."
...
The most distinctive characteristics of being a Haruno was their green eyes.
It's their trademark when it comes to power and strength.
It's both a blessing and a curse at the same time.
And Sakura perfectly knew this.
She often wondered that somewhere in this world, would she find another member of the Haruno clan aside from her cousins.
It also made her think that what kind of situation were the children and the youngster being born in the family?
That alone made her worried for some reasons,
First, she has a soft spot for children and youngsters alike.
Second, being in the hospital means tending children as well.
Third, she simply loved them.
...
Traveling in the middle of the night without sleep was probably a bad idea.
Almost all the people who knew her were wary when she's moody or grumpy, careful not to crossed her thin line of patience.
Going back to her current situation...
She halted in the middle of her track. Something seemed amiss. There was nothing suspicious happening but somewhere she felt a gut feeling telling her to go somewhere.
She sighed.
Tonight, she's never gonna get any real rest, that's for sure.
"It'd better be important when I get there."She muttered to herself as she continued to walked, following the forest path.
"Oh, it would be Sakura-chan but please do hurry dear, he's panicking and running in circles."
Sakura heard Moa in surprised.
"Your instincts never failed you, but I know better."
The question was what was happening really?
...
"Bandits...!"The boy panted, trying hard to concealed his face by his black hood.
Alert and focused, he couldn't afford to be taken off guard by these lowly bandits.
Exhausted and tired he may be, he won't accept defeat and he has a pride of his own.
"The boy is useless, there's nothing we could get from him."One of the bandits said to others who were standing at the branches of the trees, looking down at him.
"Look closer,"The other said, pointing at the boy's dangling necklace that was glimmering by the moon light.
The hooded boy gripped his necklace protectively that was given to him as a memento when he was a child.
He narrowed his eyes in pure anger."Take anything from me but you won't take this away from me!"He yelled at them, his eyes glowing bright green.
"I dare you...And you won't see another day..."He hissed, his eyes now visible to them.
They were taken aback by his sudden change of personality yet this didn't changed the fact that they still wanted his treasured possession.
"Give us and we might spare you."
He spat on the ground."Really? You might? No thank you, I'd prefer to be dead with this necklace but it's not like I'm planning to die sooner,"He brought a Kunai in his hand, gripping it."No one said I can't fight."
One of the bandits lunged at him and he prepared for the upcoming attack.
In a blink of an eye, he saw a woman with pink hair in his vision in front of him, holding his wrist and like a slow motion, she brought him to the ground with a loud crash.
This forced the boy to coughed and closed his eyes because of the dust that was done by the woman.
"What are you doing in a place like this hm?"
...
Bodies sprawled on the ground.
"They're not dead."She spoke.
He looked at her with admiration.
"Another Haruno, I guess?"
...
"So you're Haruno Ayato. Haruno Sakura."She smiled and shook her hands with him.
"I-I've been looking for you for days."
Sakura raised a brow at the brown haired boy."Then I guess it took you awhile huh? The clan has been secured isn't?"
"More or less, Sakura-sama."He blushed lightly.
She looked down at him with a gentle smile."There is no need for formalities."She patted him on the head."You really have the blood of the Haruno."She muffled his brown hair.
Ayato was just like her cousins, but instead, he has a darker shade of brown considering he's young and would eventually grow lighter as soon as he became older.
He's got looks and his green eyes, not to mention Sakura found him cute.
"You're 13 right?"She asked.
He nodded.
Sakura's eyes soften, at least she's got some company on her journey for now on.
"A-Ano..."He scratched his cheek, averting his gaze away from her."I want to be a apprentice of you."He glanced at her.
"Eh?"
Now that was not she's expecting.
