Her dress

As I opened the door to my house, I saw a white rose dying on the living room table. It was dying, just like my heart. Nate can't be gone. He promised me that he would never leave me. "What the fuck did I ever do to get him taken away from me?" I stood in the doorway, crying. Until I accidentally dropped something, it was Nate's flash drive. So I kneeled down to pick it up. I quickly closed the door behind me and ran towards my laptop and inserted the flash drive. And I put on a different video. It was Nate facing towards the camera. He then began talking.

"Jyoti, I can't wait to show you all of these videos. I know that you're going to love them."

Slam
I slammed the laptop shut. I couldn't take it any longer. My heart was breaking even more. I needed to get out of there, everything reminded me of him.

I went for a walk. As I was walking, I saw so many flowers. Then I came upon rose bushes.

.......
Nate look at these, aren't they so beautiful?

"As beautiful as you." He grabbed a white rose and gave it to me.

Thank you.

"Once we have a baby girl, we'll name her Rose. She'll be just as beautiful as a rose and as her mother."

"Aww, Nate." I began to cry.
.......

I couldn't keep my mind off him. He was everywhere. So I quickly walked past the rose bushes. Then I rested for a while on a bench. I closed my eyes for a while and took in deep breathes. Just relax Jyoti, I thought to myself. You're fine. Suddenly I felt someone's hand on my shoulder so I quickly turned back, but there was no one to be found. "Nate, I can't do it. I just can't do anything without you. I need you." I started crying for minutes. Then I got up and started to walk towards my favorite tea shop when I heard violins playing. I turned and saw three men and women playing the violin, beautifully. They reminded me of my wedding. I still kept crying. And I still kept talking to myself. "Nate, do you remember when you asked me what I wanted to be playing for our wedding?" "Violens," I started to laugh while I was still crying.

........
Violens! Violens! That's what I want for our wedding.

"Then it's settled, then. Anything that will make you happy."

"Yay!" I said as I hugged him.
........

"What will I do without you? Just look at me. I'm a fuckin mess." The violins finally stopped playing. There was just no way to get him off my mind. Everything reminded me of him, wherever I went. So I just decided to go back home.

When I got home, it was already dark outside. Then I went straight to my room. As I began to undress, I saw pictures of Nate on top of the dresser. I slowly picked up one of the photos and put it on my chest and hugged it for a while, while I was sobbing. "Oh Nate, how am I supposed to sleep tonight without you here?" Then I carefully put the photo back and finished undressing. Afterward, I went to sleep.

When morning came, I didn't feel like getting out of bed. I just layed on the bed for hours that I didn't even eat breakfast. When it was three in the afternoon, I finally decided to get up. As I was getting up, my phone started to ring.

Ringg.
I picked up my phone. "Hello," I said.

"Hey Jyoti, it's Sabrina. Sorry to have bothered you, but there's something really important that I have to show you."

What is it?

"You have to come over again and find out for yourself."

"I'll be there in twenty minutes." Then I hanged up.

What must be so important, I wondered. I quickly put on a red dress that was two inches above my knees and red converse. Then I drove over to Sabrina's parent's house, again.

I knocked on the door and Sabrina quickly answered it.

"Come on in Jyoti." I entered the house and I noticed that she was the only one home.
"Come on Jyoti, just follow me."

I followed her towards Nate's room. Then she opened up the closet and moved the clothes out of the way. There was a secret door that was locked.

"This is what's really important. But, I can't seem to know where the key is."

"Do you know what's on the other side of this door?"

"No. I never even knew that this door existed."

"Let's search around the room. The key must be around here, somewhere." Sabrina and I went crazy, trying to find the key but could just not find it.

"If I was my brother, where would I keep something hidden?"

"Maybe in something that was really important to him."

"Of course, why didn't I think of that? I know exactly where it must be."

"Where?"

"In the notebook that he used to write notes to you."

"In this notebook?" I asked, holding up a brown notebook with Nate's name written on it.

"Yes, that's exactly the one. Well, what are you waiting for, open it."

I slowly opened it and a key fell out. Sabrina quickly picked it up and went towards the locked door. "Wait for me," I said as I put Nate's notebook on the bed. Then I went to where Sabrina was at.

"Are you ready?"

"Yes." My heart was racing.

Sabrina then turned the key and she opened the door. I held my breath, the first thing I saw, was myself. There was a huge portrait of me on the wall. I continued to walk further in. As I got closer to the portrait of me, I could see that he had written something on it. The only girl I see in my eyes.

"I never knew that my brother was into art."

"He didn't want to be judged so he kept it a secret from his family," I told her as I examined the rest of Nate's paintings.

"But this is breathe taking, it's so beautiful."

"It is." Now I'm all alone, I thought to myself.
