Reality Bond (SCP Story)
Past:
He immediately stood up, before the guards even opened the door. Prepared as usual for some dangerous test that could very well cost him, his life. Every day except Sundays and Tuesdays he participated in daily tests with SCP-239. A small girl with the powers to bend reality as she pleases.
As a D-class personal he had no importance. Except when he became known as SCP-239-1. No matter how gullible and reprimanded SCP-239 was, she refused to change him back to normal. They shared a bond, for he and she have been friends for a while now.
In technicality SCP-239-1 and SCP-239 have only met once but in the same way they have met a million times. They spent hundreds of years together playing and creating a world of some other dimension, all in the time-span of a nanosecond. She made him essentially the same as her with the same powers and no limitations. Turned him into an immortal a creature that exists and doesn't at the same time.
A paradox, an anomaly that's what they were. After their encounter they kept communication through telepathy. Or even something beyond telepathy, they did things that didn't make sense and couldn't be explained, but that's what bending reality is all about.
Present:
Locked down in a "maze" of endless hallways and rooms somewhere in Site-17, not a single soul was in sight. All that was down here was SCP-239-1. Waking up and blinking his eyes into reality once again, he saw nothing and immediately made light in the forms of light bulbs posted on the ceiling. He was awake again, he felt strange.
But in full attention he remembered everything. He knew of SCP-239's fate and how she was now in a permanent sleep, while people debated whether or not to kill her. Strange how they didn't think of him, when they partially knew of SCP-239's connection to him. Closing his eyes, he imagined himself next to SCP-239.
When he opened his eyes, he saw himself in a metal enclosed room with 4 surveillance cameras surrounding the place. Ignoring them he went on. In an instance the room was bathed in red light as an alarm went off. Simply wishing the noise gone he proceeded uncaring. Seeing the girl with tubes in her arms with a permanent sedative running through her veins, his face grew angry. Her face the picture of perfect serenity, she looked relatively the same except she was 2 years older. "2 years.... So that's how long we have been asleep," he thought.
Being connected to her he must have been put in the same sleep as well, but he somehow woken up. He didn't care why or how he awakened, he only cared about releasing her from the coma.
In an instance, in compliance with his thoughts the tubes were gone and so was the sedative. Blinking her eyes, she slowly opened them. Groggily mind in a haze she looked at the figure to her right. When she saw who was bathed in the red glow she smiled with glee.
"Zevren... you came for me, I knew you would. Everything happened like u said..." the girl said, voice slightly hoarse.
"Of course I did, after all I told you we would always be together." The man replied.
Picking her up in a moment before the guards bolted through the door they were gone. Now atop one of the mountains at the Glacier National Park, looking at the breath taking view. Setting the girl down she stretched and jumped filling her senses again.
Making a feast of food appear they ate and enjoyed the view talking about everything like they usually did. After a while he stood up and said
"I think it's time we go back to our World, now I'm sure it has changed a lot. It should look even more beautiful than when we last checked."
Silently nodding she took his hands and together they both closed their eyes, and existed in this world no more.
