the girls decided to keep the tails and the powers a secret they didn't tell any one not even there parents they kept it a secret .the girls barely know what is going with them .as soon as the girls dry they go back into there clothes again .the girl think of ways to get information about whats going on with them .the girls went the island and looked around to see what was happening they didn't find any thing but a picture of a lady one of the girls knew who she was but she was much older now than in the picture .the girls went to see the lady and she had lots  of info for the girls ,they turned into mermaids because of the full moon it turns out the lady was once a mermaid herself and if the girl get wet or even a drop of water on them they will turn into mermaids so they must be very careful in public .the lady said they could asked   anything about mermaids .the lady called Mrs Higgins had two other friends that were mermaids .the girls were less confused about what was happening with them.one of there best friends leon who is into science alot ,the girl beside to tell him whats going on so they might be able to get more info ,the girls took him to the island to let him look around
