"The heads gone?" I asked.

I ran up the stairs two at a time running to the bathroom for my cell phone. I dialed the number that had texted me earlier and pressed send.

"Well hello Heidi, and what are you calling for?" A husky voice answered. He sounded as if he had been expecting me. I heard someone struggling in the back ground. I turned on the water so the detectives downstairs couldn't hear me.

"What did you do?! Who are you?! What do you want?!" I screamed with anger. I wanted a answer. Obviously this person knew what was going on. I mean seriously who leaves a message like that, right as a cop is at my house questioning me about a head in my trash can. Coincidence? I think not!

There was a chuckle.

"Are you alone Heidi?"  He asked clicking his mouth. Have any of you seen the movie Joy ride? This is what this guy sounded like! The tucker! A shiver went up my spine. I looked out the small window holding back my long brown hair.

"Who are you?" I pressed searching my side yard. I could see the neighbors living room window from here.

"Demanding little girl are you?" He sighed on the other end. He sounded as if he was in his mid forties.

"What do you want?" My eyes watered. I was honestly scared out of my ass. I'm surprised I haven't shit myself yet. My skin felt cold and bumps were spread on every inch of my body.

"Be patient. That you will find out soon enough in time. Now Heidi are you alone?" He asked again. His voice sounded very patient.

I thought about my answer.

"No. I have armed people with me in case you try anything, I have six different people guarding me at once." I lied. I searched my side yard again peeking through the curtain.

There was another sigh. A flicker of moment went on by the neighbors window. I watched closley.

Tick tick. He was making ticking noises.

"Now Heidi you know it's not good to lie." He stated.

Slam!

A face appeared in the neighbors window. I jumped back to see Mrs. Cullums face wrapped in plastic wrap blood smearing the window. She looked so helpless. I put my hand over my mouth and backed up to the door.

"Another step and I'll ring her neck like a bird." His voice said calmly like he was asking for some tea.

I was speechless. I didn't dare take another step to the window. I reached for the sink water and turned it off putting the phone on speaker.

"Hello?"

No answer.

My phone buzzed and I looked down to see a text.

bad move Heidi.

I screamed to here a click of the phone and the window completely shatter. A ball of hair came through the window and the whole floor soaked with blood. I fumbled with the door until it finally opened and ran down the satires running into detectives running up the stairs to the bathroom. My blood rushed with adrenaline and I was kept on my toes.

I ran to my mom and hugged her.

Yelling was upstairs and two men came from behind us escorting us out of my home. I kept my eye out looking at Mrs. Cullems window. A shadow was hovering over the top bedroom window. I looked away letting the officers put us in the police car. I know what you may be thinking. After what just happened your not going to say anything? Nobody is saying anything to you? You just watched you neighbor be held hostage. A head that had been missing just went through your window and your not saying anything? No trust me. People were saying things to me. I just couldn't bring their words together to understand them.

I was mumbling things. I don't know what though.

I watched as I was being driven away and a coated figure walked out of my neighbors house so calmly that nobody noticed him. I tightened up against my mom and let my eyes droop until I was completly asleep.

"-suspect is the father of the Victim. Any further information is being held."

A soft hum from the T.v went through my ears.

I didn't move my whole body felt limp but in peace.

I heard my mom walk in with another man.

"She's dead? Could they tell who the person was? Or they to much of dumb fucks to figure it out yet?" My mom said tightly. Sounds like someone could use a cigarette huh?

"I don't know anything yet. I'm sorry. But your neighbors death did have some Dna on it. The Dna matched with your daughters."

Something fell and I opened my eyes.

My Dna.
