Beep. Beep. Beep.
I tried to open my eyes but they felt heavy and I could barely move. Panic started to set in as I realized that I didn't know where I was. I tried to sit up but I felt as if I was glue to the bed. Beside me a gentle voice spoke.
"Everything is fine, you are in the hospital and you are on a few different medications, so just relax and wait for it to wear off." I felt a warm hand on my shoulder and I felt myself drifting back into sleep.
I opened my eyes and looked at my surroundings. I was in a bleak, white room with one window. There was a heart monitor and a tray of food next to me. I felt my stomach growl and looked over at the food.
"Oh your awake!" A voice said as I heard the door open. I looked over and saw a tall boy with dark brown hair and deep, friendly brown eyes. He gave me a small smile.
"Are you hungry?" He asked, gesturing to the food next to me. I nodded. He reached over and brought the food to my lap so I could reach it. When I moved, all I felt was pain so I had to eat gingerly.
"A doctor should be in to see you soon. And by the way, my name is Dan." He kissed my forehead and left the room. I could still feel where his lips touched on my head, I smiled and closed my eyes for sleep.
