The New Moden Family

The cool summer breeze blew past Ruby's window. The little girl sat cross-legged on the floor brushing her barbies hair, not knowing of what could happen to her In the next couple of minutes. She liked to dress her barbies up and make them look just like princesses; pretending that they're going to grand parties and dancing the night away with their friends. Ruby was just like other little girls, all sweet and filled with all the curiosity in the world. However this little girl had another side to her. Whenever she didn't get what she wanted exactly when she wanted it, Ruby would throw the biggest tantrum you've ever seen. Screaming at the top of her lungs and kicking every single object close by was just a normal day to day routine for her, it just felt necessary.
She was humming one of her favorite songs when she realized she wasn't alone. Hiding in the closet was her brother Jayden. He had been waiting for the right moment to jump out and scare his sister, but all he really wanted was to cut of the heads of all her barbies but scaring her will also do. Clenching his fists he burst open the wardrobe door and pulled the scariest face he could.
"BOOOOOOO!" He shouted as his sister started to scream. " IM GOING TO EAT YOU ALL UP."
Jayden pinned his sister down and started to roar in her face.
"MOMMY!" The little girl cried for her mother who was already halfway up the stairs. Musa was used to hearing this, her son was constantly trying to cause trouble even if he meant it or not. It seems that all Jayden can do is rub people off the wrong way. But it's not his fault, he is used to doing ,what ever he wanted and and getting away with it.

Musa swung open the door to find Jayden trying to snatch Ruby's favorite Barbie doll.
"Jayden! Give her it back, that's not yours." Musa was sick of saying the same thing everyday.
"But mum, we're only playing."
"No Jayden, you're sister is not having any fun now give her the toy back!" She grabbed the doll from Jayden's hands and picked the now sobbing Ruby up. "Oh Ruby, sweetheart, are you ok? Did he hurt you?" Musa inspected for damage but saw nothing.
"I didn't hurt her..."
"Go to your room, and don't think dad won't hear about this." Just as she said that, the front door.
"Hey mom! We're back." Noah shouted looking around for his mother. He had just finished his last year of school and was ready to relax for the summer. Noah was smart, in fact he was one of the smartest students in Red Fountain. He had won multiple awards for his knowledge and got very good grades. Noah was also very Musically talented something Musa was very proud of him for. He knew how to play almost any instrument a person can play, But there was only one thing Noah lacked in... Girls!
Through out his time in school, Noah had never had a single girlfriend. He had never spoken to a girl let alone kiss them. That was something his brother Flynn was more skilled in. You see Flynn was just like an average teenage boy. Going to parties, skipping school and obsessing over girls in Alfea. Flynn was the cheeky child, not caring what his parents say (just hoping that they would not find out about the things he gets up to).
"Hi boys!" Musa came downstairs almost forgetting what just happened between Ruby and Jayden. "Did you guys get back ok?" She kissed each one of them on the forehead the best she could, they were trying their best to doge the kiss,it is very embarrassing when your mother kisses you especially when you are a teenage boy. P
"It was fine, their was some jerk on the bus but apart from that, that's it." Noah smiled in return of the kiss.
"Oh who was being a jerk?" Musa asked.
"Just some idiot trying to tell us what to do." Flynn replied throwing his Bags on the hallway floor. He could care less about the situation.
"What do you mean?"
"He was just being a smart ass, a bit like someone I know." Flynn smiled to himself while Noah scoffed.
"Well I'm sorry for getting the better grades then you. Maybe when it's your turn to do your exams, you might do a little bit better then me. But we all know that will never happen." Noah said sarcastically sounding pretty happy with himself.
"Oh shut up!" Flynn glared back at his brother choosing not to notice his mother.
"You both better shut up, I have already had enough of it with Jayden and I do not need it from you too."
Flynn and Noah both sighed and went upstairs leaving Musa sat downstairs alone... Again. She wished that her family would be together more often, then were either at school or upstairs out of the way. It was like she never saw anyone any more.

( 2 hours later)

"Muse!" Riven said walking though the door having just came back from work. After Red Fountain, he joined the military and soon became the commander of the base in Melody. He was still a ignorant jerk but much more loving then what he was when he was a teen.
He walked over and kissed her on the head, she smiled knowing that at least someone in this family paid attention to her.
"Flynn and Noah are back, they came about an hour ago." She said gesturing towards the stairs.
"Mmh" Riven shrugged not really caring. "Any idea do what's for dinner?"
"No but it quarter-past four now so we better decide quickly," Musa gave hints to him suggesting that she wasn't up for the challenge of cooking food for the whole family. He raised an eyebrow, not knowing what to do with her.
"Ok... I guess we can order pizza. Up to you." Musa stood there silent looking out of the window. Something was wrong.

"Alright Muse, what's wrong?" He had a concerned tone in his voice. When Musa was acting like this, it meant one of two things. Something is upsetting her or he is either in big trouble. "I can't make it better if you don't tell me."
"Nothing wrong." She sighed. "Jayden was being a little.... He was tormenting Rube's again."
"Again? What was that boy doing this time?"
"Just being Jayden, you know?" She laughed and sat down on the sofa. "Go talk to him will you."
"I will only if you order pizza." Riven smiled, stroking her cheek.
"Fine!" She giggled and watched as her husband walk upstairs to see Jayden.
