¶Chapter Two

*Matt POV*
~before he bumps into Amanda~
I was currently in the airport waiting for one of my best friends Nash's flight to land because he was staying with me for the next 6 months. I decided to go to Starbucks when all of a sudden someone bumps into me and we fall on the floor. I look up to see a beautiful girl around my age with long strait light brown hair but it gets lighter at the tips to almost a blondish color which was just as beautiful as her, she also had gorgeous hazel eyes.
"OWWW!" we said at the same time.
"Oh my gosh I'm so sorry!" She said franticly, it was so cute.
"It's ok, my names Matthew, Matthew Espinosa, but you can call me Matt." I said winking stupidly trying to be funny. She blushed and said,
"My names Amanda, Amanda Graves."
"Hey wanna get Starbucks together, my friends plane hasn't landed and I'm pretty sure your dying to have some." She laughed while still blushing like crazy.
"Yesssssss!!" She said and we laughed and went inside of Starbucks.
~after getting their drinks~
"So Amanda, are you here moving to Virginia or visiting?" I asked hoping that she said that she was moving because I think I like her.
"We are moving here." I smiled the widest I ever have in my entire life.
"Why are you moving to Virginia?" I asked still smiling until I realized she looked like she was about to cry, right when I asked that question her bright big smile started slowly turning into a frown.
"Oh my gosh I'm so sorry! What did I say? I didn't mean to make you cry. Gosh I'm such an idiot. Ugh I always mess up with pretty girls!"
*Amanda's POV*
I began to cry when he asked me why I moved to Virginia and yes I know it was because my mom got a new job and all but I'm pretty sure my counseler told her about me getting bullied.
I zoned out and didn't focus on what Matt was saying until he said "Ugh I always mess up with pretty girls!"
"Y-you actually t-think I-I'm pretty?" I looked up at him with tears in my eyes.
"I think your beautiful, maybe even more than gorgeous. Words can not explain how beautiful you are." He held my hand and instantly sparks flowed throughout my body, no not sparks, fireworks, lightning. It was an amazing feeling.
"Amanda, before we get too close, I need to tell you some things, I'm not usually like this, at my school I'm know for being the 'bad boy' and your gonna hear a lot of bad things about me, especially from my ex's, but I will never treat you the way I have treated any body else, I will actually care for you. But you can't let anyone know about this side of me because I don't want to have to go through what I had to before I was 'Tough Matt'. Ok?" I was so shocked but I really liked him so I said,
"Your secret Matt is safe with me." He looked at me and smiled so big it was hilarious.
"Hey can I have your number so maybe you can come over later, only if you want to, you don't have to-"
I cut him off
"Matt, I would love to." man where did all this confidence come from??
"Really?! Great well lemme but my number in your phone and you can put your in mine." We swapped phones and I put mine in as "Mandysaurus" and when he gave me back my phone and I gave him back his I saw he put his contact name as "Mattchu" we separated and went our own ways saying bye both smiling like idiots, then the thought came to me,
'Do I like Matt?' No no no I can't, the last time I did was in 6th grade and now that ex boyfriend is my bully. Maybe I'll just give him a chance.
"Mandy!!" My mom yelled for me outside of Starbucks.
"Coming mom!" It's funny how she goes to Starbucks to look for me knowing that's where I'd be at.
"Sooooo, who was the boy you were talking to?" She wiggled her eyebrows at me smirking.
"Oh, um his names Matt, I just met him and I found out that he lives in the same neighborhood as us! Which reminds me, can I go over to his house later? PLEASE MOMMY PLEASE I NEED FRIENDS OR ELSE I'LL DIE-"
She cut me off,
"YES YOU CAN GO BUT CAN WE STOP YELLING?!?!"
"OMG YESSS!!! YOUR THE BEST MOM! AND YEAH SURE." I began jumping around laughing and smiling. Maybe my life will be better here.
