III.

(Day One)
Training.

To be honest, it was never really hard for me. It was actually quite enjoyable. But my partner was missing in action. Well, technically not MIA, because we all knew where he was, but Yuu wasn't there, so I had to sit on the sidelines and wait for a partner to show up. And you know why? Guren refused to practice with me. Coward.

I sat, legs crossed, waiting for Mitsuba, Yoichi, or Kimizuki to finish. They all tortured me though, and only traded partners between themselves. Did they forget I was there? I mean, it's kind of hard not to forget I was there...

So instead of training, I pushed myself up from the ground and left. I wanted to talk to Yuu.

He's not the only one who wanted answers.

I wanted to learn more about him. Hopefully, though, he wouldn't ask anything of me.

I checked his dorm first. I knocked a few times. No, he definitely wasn't there.

Next in line was the infirmary, but when I opened the door. It was almost as if the room was completely blank.

Where could Yuu be?

I guess I shouldn't be worrying. After all, Yuichiro is a year older than me, and he should be able to handle himself.

Even so, I worried. I ran up to Guren's office. And like usual, I was only permitted because of my stupid family name: Hiragi.

I slammed the door shut and commanded, "Where are the coordinates of my subordinate: Yuichiro Hyakuya."

"Captain Hiragi. Are you worried because your little lovey-dovey partner is missing?" Guren replied as blankly as possible.

My face beat red hot all over. I flailed my arms. "No!" It took a bit to calm down. "He wasn't at practice, or the infirmary, and since Yuichiro is injured, he must--"

Guren interrupted me. "You love him."

"How could I possibly?!"

"If you must know, I have no idea where he is. But he's either dead, or making out with another girl."

"Shut up."
