Claire's Pøv

"Well, see you in a while kiddo," my dad says.

"Bye," I say.
I'm so not looking forward to this. Kelly tells me to follow her to my room. We walk to the first bunkhouse on the girls side and she opens the door. She leads me down the hall to the 4th door on the left. She opens the door and I see 2 bunk beds. There was 3 other kids in the room. I put my suitcase on my bed and kinda sit there and look around the room.

"Hello, I'm Melissa," one says smiling at me. She seems nice.

"Hi, I'm Claire," I reply, smiling back.

"I'm Becky," another says.

"And I'm Katie," the last one says.

"Nice to meet you all," I smile.

"You too," they reply.

I started to unpack, putting my band merch in a separate drawer. After I was finished, it was very awkward silence for a couple minutes.

"Well, who would like to go and get something to eat and maybe meet some guys," Katie says breaking the silence.

"I'm up for that, you guys?" Becky asked.

"Ya sure," Melissa and I say. Us 4 get up and walk out of the room together. We walk to the dining hall and grab a couple snacks and sit down. The guys here weren't cute at all. So far camp hasn't been anything exciting :/ it's actually very boring. I sit there and stare at the wall and slowly eat my food. Katie, Becky, and Melissa all seem like best friends so they are talking to each other a lot and kind of ignoring me so I decide to get up from the table and go back to my room.

My room is on the second floor, so it's kinda cool that I get to have a little balcony outside the door. Or I guess "we". I don't mind sharing a room, but with 3 other girls? Not really my thing. I grab my phone and put my earbuds in. I hit shuffle and start listening to With Ears To See and Eyes To Hear by Sleeping with Sirens. I start to quietly hum so no one outside the door hears me. I see 4 chairs on the balcony and I decide to go sit down in one of them. I sit down and look out at the forest that is surrounding the camp.

I hear the door open and I see Becky, Katie and Melissa walk in. They walk out to the balcony to join me. I take out my earbuds and shut off my music.

"Sorry I kinda ditched you guys," I apologized.

"Its ok Claire, we didn't really include you in our conversation and I'm sorry," Melissa also apologized.

"That's ok. I probably wouldn't of even of known what you guys were talking about anyways," I laugh. They laugh too.

"We brought you some hot chocolate from the dining hall," Katie offers. I look and see that they all have hot chocolate too.

"Thank you," I smile.

"Your welcome," she smiles.

I'm starting to like them. They're nice. We all sip on our hot chocolates while looking out at the forest. It seemed as if it never ended. For as far as the eye could see, it was trees. Just trees.

I wanted to leave this stupid camp so badly. Everyone here are all so happy and bright. The total opposite of me.

Once we all finished our hot chocolates I said, "Here, I'll take down our mugs to the kitchen."

They all hand me their dirty mugs and thank me. I walk down the hallway, down the stairs and outside to the kitchen. I get into the building and put our mugs on the counter where we put our dirty dishes.

I make my way back up to the room. I begin to open the door, but then I hear Becky's voice say, "What do you guys think of the Claire girl?"

"She's alright," I hear Katie respond.

"I don't like her, she seems very emo and depressing," Melissa says. I decided that that was my cue to open the door.

"I hate her, she seems so-" Becky begins then I open the door. She immediately starts to turn red. A tear rolled down my cheek and I ran out taking my suitcase and phone with me.

"Claire, wait!" I hear Becky call after me. So I'm the depressed, emo freak to them? Nice. I run into the forest as fast as I could, not wanting to ever go back there. I was running and I felt someone grab me and put a blindfold over my eyes so I couldn't see. They put something against my mouth and I instantly blacked out.
