Chapter Two

Lucia's p.o.v

I woke up at exactly 6:30 in the morning and changed into a pair of skinny jeans and a black and red flannel.I brushed my hair in a high ponytail and added light makeup.I headed to the kitchen to see my mom make toast."Morning mom."I said as I hugged her."Morning sweety."My mom said as she handed me a piece of toast.I gladly took it and ate it.Then I grab a pair of black vans and slipped them on.I grabbed my bookbag and slung it over my shoulder."Bye mom."I shouted as I left the house.I walked two blocks when I saw the gates of the school.I sighed mostly because I hated the thought of no one liking me. Or should I say not noticing me.I shoved the negative thoughts in the back of my mind and entered the school building.I went to my locker and decided that getting my books at a different time was a waste of time so I placed them all in my bookbag.I headed to my math class and sat in my regular seat, you know the one in the back of class as always and next to my loving partner the window.As I sat down I heard a bunch of girls squealing.*Just ignore its probably nothing.*I thought as I took out my notebook and wrote down the warm up written on the board."Ok class as most of you know we have a new student.Please come in."the teacher said.In came in the most hottest guy I had ever seen.But as soon as we made eye contact I knew that he was part supernatural.I looked down and started to list the type of supernatural being he could be and I narrowed it down to four types. He could either be 1)part werewolf,2) part Fae(fairy),3)part vampire or finally 4) part shape shifter."Hi guys I'm Jase Costins.Nice to meet you all."the boy said."Well Jase you will be seating next to our star student Lucia.Lucia darling please raise your hand."The teacher said.Just as the teacher said my name every girl in there turned to look at me with disgust.I timidly raised my hand as the boy named Jase walked up to the empty seat next to me and sat down.I dropped my hand and quickly went back to answering the question."Hi there I'm Jase Costins."Jase said to me.I dropped my pencil lightly on the desk and turned to him."Nice to meet you Jase.I'm Lucia Grace Gomez."I said shyly."Nice meeting you Lucia."Jase said. I looked up at him and saw his grayish green eyes."You have such pretty eyes."I whispered."Thanks you to."Jase said.I blushed as what I said was embarrassing."You weren't suppose to hear that."I said embarrassed."Hey I have good hearing after all."He said which reminded me of my question."Um I know that this might sound weird but what are you?"I asked curiously."What do you mean what I am?"He said surprise clearly seen in his eyes."What I mean is are you like a werewolf or a shapeshifter."I whispered."I'm human of course."He said."Ok if you say so."I said as I felt a chill run down my back. The only feeling I get when there's a ghost somewhere near.I looked around the classroom and spotted the ghost of a lady in her 30s with a yellow sundress covered in blood and the side of her face completely bruised.I gasped at the sight of her as I also noticed she had blood dripping on the side of her face."You ok?"Jase asked."Y-yea perfectly f-fine."I stuttered.I quickly raised my hand and excused my self to the bathroom. I walked out to the hallways and saw that the ghost had followed."Help me."the ghost said as if she were in some kind of pain."H-help you with what?"I asked."I need you to save my family."She said in a panicked voice."Why do I need to help them?"I asked confused."A demon is
after my family."the lady said fading."Wait why's a demon after them?"I asked alarmed."A lost treasure that my family has kept.......for generations.....its very......dangerous if used by the......wrong people."She said completely fading.I just stared at the spot the lady had been and got completely scared when a hand grabbed my shoulder.So I did the only thing I knew to do to defend my self and flipped the person over.When I saw who it was I completely started to apologize."I'm so sorry Jase I didn't know it was you."I said."You sure are strong.Why were you talking to that ghost."He said/asked."You'd only be able to see her if 1)you have powers or abilities to see the supernatural and or 2) your a supernatural being."I said crossing my arms."Ok you got me.I'm a supernatural being so what."Jase said like it was completely normal."So what are you exactly?"I questioned."I'm half vampire ok."He said annoyed."So a dhampir I said."Well yes.How do you even know about supernatural beings anyway?"he asked."Because first of all I'm a hunter and I help supernatural beings.My moms the one who trained me."I said as I walked into the classroom.I grabbed my stuff as the bell rang and headed for music class.When I entered the first thing I saw on the board was 'Get a partner and practice singing a song you both know and then present it to the whole class'.*Oh goody*I thought as I sat down and began listing  songs I could sing to by myself.That was until Jase walked in and sat besides me."So what song are you choosing?"He asked."Well seeing as it has to be a duet we'll sing stay by Rhiana."I said."Sure."He agreed.

Once it came to me I made a lousy excuse and said my throat was sore.Jase turned to look at me and gave me the'wtf' look.I shrugged and just payed attention to the others.Once the bell rang for lunch I went to my secret room or what was my secret room until Jase followed me."Nice you get this whole room to your self."He said amazed."Yea it was to myself until you came along."I said a bit annoyed."Sorry for the intrusion. So tell me about yourself?"he asked."No way."I said."And why not?"He questioned."Why because I barely even know you.Plus its my personal info so I won't tell you.it none of your business."I sat eating my pb and j sandwich."I guess but just to tell you I'm here when ever you need me."He said sitting down on the floor."Sure thing.I think i'll leave school early today."I said to myself."Cool I'll go with you."Jase said."Um no."I said quickly getting up and leaving the classroom.I walked to the office and told them I was leaving early.Of course they asked if I had a note and I took one out of my pocket."Is he leaving with you?"The secretary asked."Yes."I said a little annoyed."Ok then have a good day."the secretary said.I left the school building and walked to the public library."Why are you here?"Jase asked."Need to do research."I answered simply."Oh."Was all he said.I went to a secret part of the library and opened a passage and entered in quickly.I went to the guard and showed him my ID card.I went up to a computer and looked up recent deaths.I found the one I was looking for,printed it out and headed out of the library only to bump into Jase."Where did you go?"He asked."That's none of your business I just needed information about the ghost I saw during the school hours."I said as I shoved the file in my bookbag and walked to my house.Once I entered Jase let himself in."Why are you even following me?And why are you in my house?"I asked irritated."Well guessing by your tones your mother hasn't told you anything but I'm here to protect you."He said seriously."Uhuh. Well you can stay here in the living room and I'll go to my room."I said.

Four hours later I rubbed my eyes and closed the file. I stretched and changed into my PJs.I put the file under my bed and fell asleep.
