Jack almost had a heart attack when he saw the lizard. What happened next just made it worse. The lizard walked out of the closet and into the hall. Jack backs up and the large lizard turns back into the fully grown Peter. Jack stares at him in fear and amazement. He starts to run out of the apartment, but I get in front of him before he does. He looks at me in fear, almost saying if I am one too. I clench both of my fist and anything around us starts to float around in the air. His eyes grow big.

"Are you going to report us?" I ask and he shakes his head almost immediately. "Good." I say dropping everything and let him out of the apartment. Peter looks at me and I throw him a bag for his clothes. "We need to leave. Now." I say and he does what I say. We grab all the clothes we can and shove it into our bags. We get on our jackets and walk out of the room. We leave everything we couldn't carry and get to my pick up truck.

"Where are we going?" Peter asks me as I start the car. I look at him.

"I have no idea." I say then pull out of our spot and head for the high way. We get on and head south towards L.A. Peter falls asleep in the car and I keep driving. The rain eventually lets up, but its in this big circle that seemed to follow us. We drive for hours, until i look at the clock and notice its eight thirty. I punch Peter to wake him and he shoots up in a start.

"What the hell man!?" He yells at me. I laugh.

"It's starting to get late, do you want to get a hotel?" I say and he yawns. He stretches and looks at me like I'm weird.

"I could drive and we could just keep going." He says and I shrug, just wanting to get into a bed. We find a local hotel and pull over. We get a room, 1963, and go in. It's a small room with two beds and one bath. I throw my bag on the bed closest to the door and flop on the bed. I feel tired from the day. I can't believe I'm a fugitive. Metas were once  heroes, but now they are outcast. I just don't get why. There are rumors that there is Meta refuge camp in L.A., so I decide to go there. I lay on the bed and it feels great. I fall asleep and I don't dream at all. I wake up to the sound of Peter yelling.

"Grant, wake up!" He yells at me and I shoot up from the bed. I see him looking out the window and he looks nervous. I walk over and see why he is nervous. There are three black vans, full of men with guns. They are surrounding our room and Peter looks at me with fear. I notice something. The trucks are in two rows, on with just one car and another with two cars. I think of a plan, I just hope it works. I walk to the door and look at Peter.

"Come on." I say, holding the door knob to leave. I hold my my bag in my hand and am ready to walk out of the room. He grabs his bag with his cloths in it. I open the door and he looks at me.

"You better not kill us." He says to me. I shoot him a small smile.

"I won't. Trust me." I say and walk out to the armed men. I stand there facing them and Peter has his hands in the air, bag dropped on the ground. They keep their gun pointed at me.

"Drop the bag and put your hands in the air!" One of them yells at me. I smile at them. I drop the bag and as I do clench my fist and push my hands out, throwing the cars at the armed men. One of the cars stays standing and I run over to it. I open the door and see the keys still in the ignition. I start the car and Peter hops into the passenger seat. I punch the gas and race out of the hotel parking lot.

The sun has just started to rise and we are now racing as fast as we can to L.A. I look at Peter and he is just as startled as I am. The road is flat with no sights to see. I feel like we are still going in the right direction. I don't know how, but I just feel it. The sun starts to shine high in the sky and I notice that its already noon. I look at Peter who still hasn't looked away from the road.

"Are you okay?" I ask him and he looks at me.

"Ya, I'm fine. I just didn't know that Metas where hated that much." He says and then shoots me a look. "How the hell did you do that with the cars? That was awesome!" He says raising his arms an I laugh. It was awesome wasn't it. I look at him.

"Why can't you control your power?" I ask him.

"I don't know. I wish I could figure it out." He says and looks down at his legs.  I grab his shoulder.

"Hey, you will figure it out trust me." I say, trying to comfort him. He looks at me and then back at the road. His eyes grow big. I look and see a man with a sword standing in the middle of the road, and we head straight for him.
