"Mental institution?" Ashton laughed at his mother's suggestion. "You're joking right?"
"Well, you're father and I talked about it and-" Anne Marie Irwin began, but was interrupted by a confused and angry Ashton.
"Lance is not my father," The curly haired boy stated.
"Sorry, step-father," she apologized and folded her hands in her lap. "Anyways, we've just noticed that you've been," his mom paused and then continued with a sigh, "acting strange."
"But Mum! I don't understand," he complained as his hazel eyes were now brimming with tears, which was quite unusual. Ashton hadn't cried since his parents had split.
"Ash, it's for your own good."
After that phrase that his mother firmly told him, he began to feel drowsy, his eye lids feeling heavier than usual. And that was the last thing he remembered hearing that night. He didn't even remember going to sleep.

Once he had awoken, his head felt as if someone was slamming a hammer on it. Running his fingers through his light brown hair and slowly opening his eyes, he noticed an unfamiliar man standing at the doorway. "Ashton, stop. There taking you to the institution," Anne smiled a sad smile as she placed a hand on her eldest son.
Gripping on the front doorframe, he cried, "Mummy, please don't do this to me!"
A woman who was now carrying him forced his arm away from the house and began to walk away from his home. At the last moment, he heard his so called 'loving' parent say to the man in the suit, "We should've done this sooner, or another incident wouldn't have happened."
Ashton thought in his head as he was about to burst into tears, She's trying to get rid of me. That... that... that ungrateful b-
Before he could finish, something banged his head, making him pass out.

Waking up in a large vehicle with people surrounding him, Ashton sat up from the laying position he was in. His mother's words boomed in his head from the night the mental institution was brought up.
"Ash, it's for you're own good."
He had so many questions running through his head, but the first Ashton asked was, "I'm not getting kidnapped, right?"
