The Longest Ride part 2

Life's Changing

  Sophia's POV:

          Luke and I have been living on the ranch together for about a month now. The Ira and Ruth Art Museum is running very well. Since Luke stoped bull riding he has been doing most of the house work as I bring in the money for us. Not much has changed in our lives, simple and sweet. 

Luke's POV: 

          Sophia is at work at the art museum today and I am planing the biggest surprise for her when I pick her up from work. I have been planing on proposing to Sophia for awhile but I finally have the guts to ask, I also have a wonerdful idea. 

          It is five o'clock and I am on my way to pick Sophia up from work. I plan on taking her to where we had our first date. I'm going to take her to the same lake and have Smokin' Amy's BBQ and have a fire and as we are leaving I'm going to propose to her. 

          "Hey Soph, how was the museum today?"

          "Great, but um Luke babe the ranch is that way, where are you going?" as she points in the opposite direction. 

          "That is a surprise," with that ending the conversation.

          As we pull in to the same spot we were at exactly one year ago I turn the truck off and hop out grabbing the to go bag from Smokin' Amy's BBQ. 

          "Luke why are we here?" 

          "We had our first date here exactly one year ago, I brought Amy's." 

          "Luke this amazing, I can't believe that you did this for me, I completely forgot that it was one year since our first date!"

          "I would do anything for you Soph, I love you." 

          "I love you too Luke!"

           "Alright are you ready to dig in?"

          "Of course, this is the best barbecue in North Carolina." Sophia chuckles at herself.

          As we finish eating we kindle a conversation about how we view our future, and what we want. It was everything I had hoped for, we are going to be great together. We are going to be like Ira and Ruth. We sit by the fire as a loud crack of thunder strikes, we sit not worrying about the rain. It starts to down pour. Sophia went to the truck to grab her jacket, and when she came back I was down on one knee, rain falling hard and steady, ready to propose to the women that I would love to spend the rest of my life with.

            "Sophia Danko, I would love to be able to spend every waking moment of my life with you, I love you and enjoy startin pg a family with you, you are the only person I would want to spend the rest of my life with, Sophia will you marry me?" 

          " Luke I don't know what to say, you are an amazing man and I... I...I would love  to marry you, you are the best man and I love you." 

           I slip the ring on her finger, I stand rushing to kiss her. things got heated fast, we jumped in the truck and headed back to the ranch where we could continue what we started.

      Although the night didn't go one hundred percent according to plan, I still have the great blessing to marry my dream women.

Sophia's POV:

          Luke pulls up the drive way slamming on the brakes.

          "Come on babe, we have stuff to take care off." I giggle and hop out of the truck. Luke meet me on the passenger side and picked me up bridal style and he carried me up to our bedroom. Our kisses became very passionate, all I could think about is how I get to spend the rest of my life with such a wonderful man.
