Where Did The Time Go?

"Riley?" I knocked on her bedroom door lightly. No answer. I slowly opened the door and saw her laid on the bed with her headphones in. She pulled them out and sat up.

"Oh hey, I didn't hear you..." She turned off her iPod and threw it to the end of the bed.

I walked further into the room and stood awkwardly by her bed.

"We're uh... Ordering pizza. Do you want to come down?"

"Has Lisa gone?" She looked nervous.

"Mhm. She left an hour ago but we haven't eaten today so..." I shuffled around a little.

"Who's down there?"

"All four of us. Alex and Zack arrived just after your care worker left. They're really excited to meet you."

"Yeah sure, let's go." She smiled a little.

"Guys, this is Riley." Me and Riley walked into the lounge where Jack, Alex and Zack were sat watching TV. She smiled at the boys as they turned to face her.

"Riley this is Zack Merrick, Jack Barakat and Alex Gaskarth." I pointed to each one in turn.

"Yeah, I know. Big fan." She giggled slightly. Her laugh was so cute. She pointed to an armchair at the other side of the room, "Do you mind?"

I shook my head and she sat down.

"Oh and Rian? My name is Olivia."

"Since when?"

"Since I was 12. Riley is my middle name now. Olivia Riley Gilmour." She nodded.

"Oh, okay. So, Olivia, what pizza do you want?"

"Anything. You guys order." She turned her attention to the TV. I felt a little disappointed that she hadn't kept her birth name. I had chosen it before we gave her up as it was a female alternative of my name.

We ordered the pizza and then I sat next to Zack on one of the couches.

"So, Olivia?" Alex piped up, "You're a fan?"

"Since 2012!" She giggled, "I found you guys after Patty Walters from As It Is- you know them, right?" We nodded, "Yeah so he did a cover of Somewhere in Neverland, so I looked up this 'All Time Low'. I fell in love with your music." She blushed a little.

"Don't be embarrassed, kiddo!" Zack smiled, "It's amazing to see such a dedicated fan."

"Yeah but... You're my father!" Oliviagestures towards me, "It's weird cause I had a crush on all of you at one point or another."

"Okay, that's a bit weird." Jack looked at her, "But I can see why I mean, look at me! I'm hot!"

The pizzas were delivered shortly after and, after we'd eaten, Olivia retreated to her bedroom.

"I'm gonna unpack and then go to bed- today was manic." She walked to the doorway and waved slightly, "Night."

"Night kid!" Zack said. He really seemed to have taken a shining to her.

"Night." I sighed. I wish I'd never given her up, this would've all been a lot easier.

Everyone makes mistakes, I suppose.
