* Jacquie's POV *

A cool gust of wind hit me as we walked into school.  Shawn walked me to the school office to get my schedule for the year. We walked reorders the door Shawn grasped the handle and opened the door for the two of us, I mumbled a small thank you before the door closed..

"Name?" The lady behind a desk asked

" Jacquie Lee, I'm new here" I answered as sweetly as I could.

" Here's your schedule which also has all the information for your locker." She informed me.

" Ok, thank you" I said as I left the office with Shawn following right behind me.

" let me see your schedule," I handed my schedule over to Shawn as he scanned over the small paper, he looked so cute while he was concentrating- wait what I can't like Shawn I just meet him.

" We have homeroom, 2nd period, 5th period, and 7th!" Shawn shouted happily as I smiled at his burst of joy.

" Good so I will at least have one friend with me through out the day," I smiled and looked up at Shawn as he towered over me smiling down too.

" Let's go find your locker before the bell rings." He rushed walking a little faster.

"Here it is locker 107" Shawn pointed to one of the lockers next to him. I looked down at the small paper the lady gave me in the office which had my combo on it.

I slowly walked into first period, English, which i had with Luke.  I have to admit that Luke was quite attractive but he wasn't my type.  I sat down next to a girl i think her name was Nataly, she turned to me and smiled.

"Hi im Nataly, your new right?" she asked

"Ya I just moved here from New York" i smiled

"Thats so cool how do you like it here so far?"

"Its ok i guess i already made a few friends Shawn, Luke and Christie" i responded

"oh if i were you id stay away from that Luke guy he's trouble, please just listen to me on this one" i looked back looking at Luke as he was already looking my way as he sent a wink.  Maybe i should listen to her... 

"Hello class, um i see we have a new student, Jacquie can you please stand up and tell the class a little about yourself"

( A/N: in this book they are seniors in high school )

" um oh ya sure" i stood up and all eyes were on me "Well my name is Jacquie Lee i just moved here from New York and well i like singing but i don't think I'm that good but ya thats about it about myself" i said sitting back down I'm my seat.  

~~ skip to after school ~~

"Jacquie wait up!" i heard someone yell from behind me, i turned around to see shawn running my way.

"Hi Shawn are you walking home too?" i asked hoping he was because i didn't want to walk alone.

"Umm no sorry my friend Ian's giving me a ride home..." he drifted off from there.

(A/N: I'm sorry for all the a/ns but when i went to the greek theater to see shawn AND i MET IAN HE WAS SO NICE)

"Oh ok its fine have fun" he hugged me and ran to a car which I'm guessing was Ian's.

I started walking off to my house when i felt like someone was following me i turned around to see  Christie i smiled and waved but she ran up to me pulling me into a ally way.

"I want you to stay away from Shawn he is mine got it?! He wants me not someone ugly and as fat as you so back off i mean it" she yelled and pushed me, my back hitting the wall behind me as i just started running as fast as i could ignoring the burning sensation on my back. I finally made it to my house, I seen Shawn and Ian playing basketball in Shawn's drive way as i ran by tears brimming in my eyes from the pain in my back. Shawn looked my way but i quickly wiped away the tears and ran inside my house.

I stomped up the stairs and slammed the door locking it, i took off my flannel and lifted up my shirt to see i huge purple and black bruise already starting to form on my back. i then then lifted up my shirt all the way seeing fat i was disgusted I'm not like Christie I'm not skinny I don't have perfect skin and I'm not tall. 

I looked at my body one more time seeing my old scars from when i was still with him.  I haven't done anything in a few months but i can't take it the things him and probably his girlfriend by now, and all the kids at my old school said to me was circling around me and all could hear were their voices repeating all those hurtful things.

I knew i was better than this, i can't break my promise even if he did.
