My name is Simon. I'm 14 years old and I live in Winsconson Ohio. I love righting poetry, its probably one of my top favorite hobbies. Although my mother sees my work as pathetic and pointless, my father encourages my work. Well, at least he did, before he died in a car accident four years ago. Since that day my Mother and I havent been getting along so I'm usually up in my room, Writing in my Notebook. Well perhaps not "Writing", more such drawing stickmen just to scribble them out before I erase them.
Knock, Knock, Knock. I can hear my mother at the door. I close my eyes for a second to relax Before quickly walking over to open the door. As I walk, I can hear the boards beneath my feet Creek and Crack. At the same time I feel anger and hate rising through my soul, but I stop myself and I try relax again. I think to my self, " Just stay calm". It wasn't very reassuring. I go on to open the door. My mother looks at me with a face of disgust and disappointment. She then looked into my eyes with a cold hearted glare and began to scream at me. She screamed of how useless and worthless I was. And when she had finally left me alone, I began to imagine a place, a place where there was peace, and love and caring, And Life and joy worked together in perfect harmony. I could could imagen the Sounds of chirping in the Soft warm winds. I woke up. It was just a dream. As I look out my window, I could see a bad Storm headed our way. I ran down the stairs, almost tripping on the rug. My mother is beating up the T.V trying to figure out why it stopped working. I told her a Storm was headed our way and it was messing with the Entena. I heard the wind scream throughout the house. We then went to the basement. The smell of Mildew was breathtaking. I managed to squeeze through the boxes that have stacked up over the years and sat down in the corner of the room. The winds grew stronger and louder. All of a sudden the power went off leaving us in the cold black . I constantly checked my watch, I was lucky it was "Glow In The Dark". It began to get late so I decided to just go to sleep. I yawned, and even though I didn't mean it at heart, I wished my mother good night.
