Waking up the next morning, I was filled with a bundle of nerves. I wasn't nervous, just excited for what the day held ahead. It was hot in California, I knew that the second the hot air washed over my face when I stepped out to my balcony. My hair hung loose down my back with a cute accent braid pinned in the crown of my head. As for my outfit, I decided a loose t-shirt dress along with a pair of converse would be appropriate for the weather.

I had just finished tying the laces of white high-tops when I received a text from Ethan. A grin spread on my lips as I read the sentence inside the blue bubble,

"Hey Kenna!! The dudes and I are downstairs waiting"

I sent a quick response informing him that I am making my way down there before I grabbed my bag and hotel key. I stalled out my room and stepped inside the elevator, the doors were about to shut before a petite frame came rushing towards us, "Stop!" The girl pleaded in desperation, my eyes widened and immediately I stuck my arm out in between the doors. They opened back up gaining a sigh of relief from the girl as she stood in the elevator with me.

"Thank you." The teenage girl said through exhausted huffs.

Champagne curls delicately cascaded down her back, bright blue eyes paired with high cheek bones and heart shaped lips. She was pale, but it went well with her features. I subconsciously ran my fingers through my tangled brunette hair, standing next to her only lowered my self esteem. She's gorgeous and polite, I felt like absolute trash.

"I'm Dove," The girl said as she placed her hand out with a bright smile.

I returned the gesture, "Mckenna, but you can call me Kenna."

Dove smiled warmly while leaning back on the railing, "Mckenna? What a gorgeous name, always have been one of my top favorites."

I scoffed playfully, "Psh, if anything Dove is a pretty name. Mckenna is just so, bleh."

She tilted her head forward in laughter while cupping her palm over her mouth, "Thanks, but Dove isn't actually my real name." She paused for a second as she cleared her throat, her expression become more serious, "Chloe, is my real name. I only illegally changed it to Dove a few years back due to personal reasons."

I nodded while an 'O' shaped formed on my lips. Silence filled the air as the elevator stopped down, "Well Chloe or Dove, both are lovely names."

She grinned at me, a genuine smile that was hard to find in most people. Already, I could tell she had been through a lot just from what her eyes held.

"So Kenna, how come I've never seen you before?" Dove broke the silence while twiddling with her hair.

"Well, I'm new here actually. I actually live in Miami but flew over here because I recently got a job as an assistant publicist."

The elevator dinged and the doors slid open, we both stepped out. She seemed to be going the same direction as I was which was the front entrance so we walked side by side. Only ten feet away, and I could already make out the ruffled dark hair gelled up in the distance that only belonged to the one and only, Grayson Dolan.

"That's awesome! Who do you work for?" Dove praised, "Maybe I know them, I'm an actress."

My eyes widened, there was no shock that Dove was an actress. She held all the qualities of one and even the charismatic attitude didn't hide that, "Revolt Corp."

She pursed her lips as she thought over my response. We reached the front door and the doorman held it open for us, I thanked him for both of us and we stepped out. Dove had still not replied by then, and Grayson flipped his head over. His face churned into confusion to surprised in less than a second. I also picked up on how he was alone.
