It was supposed to be a scorching summer morning but it has rained today and so with my attitude of bringing an umbrella as a protection to my fair skin I have prevented myself from going to the office with squeaking socks. The streets of manila were of course, as usual, flooded and I was glad that I used this pair of cheap rubberized, seemingly-leather shoes which is a good water-proof item. I serpentined my way up the stairs leading to the MRT Taft Station platform which was filled with commuters complaining about how slow the line was moving forward.
