Getting adopted

I woke up this morning in a good mood.

Oh, how rude of me, you're probably wondering who I am right?

My name is Freya. i am thirteen. I don't have a last name since I've been here since I was a newborn.

Yeah, I live in an orphanage. The one I live in is in Brighton. No, I haven't met any youtubers. But YouTube is my life. And singing.

The reason I am here is because my mother died shortly after I was born and my father couldn't cope so he left me here and committed suicide. Anyway, the reason I woke up I in a good mood is because I am getting adopted today. I haven't met the family but apparently they looked at the orphanage website and liked me the most so they are coming and getting me today. I don't know much about them other than they are Irish and they have two kids. The kids aren't coming today, just the parents, so I guessing will be meeting them when we get to their house.

So I get up and have a shower and I get into (to the side or chapter header). If you can't already tell I am a huge Harry Potter Fan.

I go downstairs and have breakfast with all the other kids and go upstairs and pack my laptop, guitar, makeup and video and music recording equipment. I have it just in case I want to start YouTube. My clothes were already packed as well as my iPad. My laptop and iPad are in the carry on bag with a mix desk sorta like the ones DJs have.

I grab all my things and start to head downstairs. All of the other kids were downstairs and after I put all my things by the foot of the stairs I go into the playroom. One of the youngest kids, a three year old girl named Lee comes up to me and asks,

"Can you play a song for us, one last time?"

At this all of the other kids in the orphanage come up and ask me to do the same. I say yes and walk over to the piano.

I sit down and start to play Feed The Birds from Mary Poppins. (BTW she is the oldest girl in the orphanage)

Early each day, to the steps of St. Paul's
The little old bird woman comes.
In her own special way
To the people she calls
'come buy my bags full of crumbs'.

Come feed the little birds,
Show them you care
And you'll be glad if you do
The young ones are hungry,
Their nests are so bare
All it takes
Is tuppence from you.

Feed the birds tuppence a bag
Tuppence , tuppence , tuppence a bag
Feed the birds, that's what she cries
While overhead, her birds fill the skies.

All around the cathedral, the saints and apostles
Look down as she sells her wares
Although you can't see it, you know they are smiling
Each time someone shows that he cares

Though her words are simple and few,
Listen, listen, she's calling to you
Feed the birds, tuppence a bag
Tuppence tuppence tuppence a bag
Feed the birds tuppence a bag
Tuppence, tuppence, tuppence a bag

Though her words are simple and few,
Listen, listen, she's calling to you
Feed the birds tuppence a bag
Tuppence
Tuppence
Tuppence a bag

After I finished playing there was clapping from the children around me, but also from the doorway.

I turned around and saw Mrs Cole, the woman who runs the orphanage, and two other people.

They weren't just ordinary people though.....
