Mia's P.O.V

"MIA!" I heard my mother scream from downstairs.

"Yeah mum?" I yelled back.

"Can you come down here?" I closed my computer and walked downstairs and into the kitchen. I peered around the corner seeing her standing at the island.

"What is it?" I asked.

"I just got a call from a friend of mine who lives in New York. She wants you and me to go visit her! Isn't that great!?" She said. My heart kind of slumped into my chest. The band was at the U.S now for tour, I didn't want to be in the same country with them right now no matter how bad I wanted to. I shrugged and stared and my feet. I looked up at her, her face was longing with concern.

"Mia, it'll be great. Your father is away on business right now and we can finally have a little adventure together. Just the two of us. I promise you it will be great! Come on now and go pack your bags. We are leaving first thing tomorrow!" She said shooing me off. I walked out of the kitchen and straight to my room to pack my bags. I pulled out my leopard printed suitcase and packed my toiletries, cosmetics, any chargers for my electronics, cute clothes, some jewelry, and a few pair of shoes. I stuffed my phone, my I-pod, and any other little knick knacks I could find that I figured would come in handy in some way. I heard my mom talking on the phone about the tickets for the flights and a few hours later they arrived in the mail. Now I knew she wasn't kidding.

The morning clouds covered the sky completely as I walked out of the house to the car. Everything was loaded into the car and we were off on our way to the airport. My face was leaning against the passenger seats window and I was just staring at scenery as we drove past it all.

"Brighten up sweetheart; this is good for you trust me." My mum told me. I gave her a small moan and closed my eyes and fell asleep till we arrived at the airport.

We boarded the plane and soon we were taking off. It was a few hours the flight and I was asleep through most of it so it didn't matter. We collected our things and as we were walking outside to get a cab I remembered my mum not telling me where her friend lived.

"Hey mum?" I asked. She turned to face me.

"Yeah?" She asked.

"Where does your friend live?" I said.

"She lives not to far from Madison Square Garden, you know the arena? We're going to be staying at a hotel near there." She told me. I knew One Direction had a concert there and I wasn't too thrilled. I kept quiet after her response and we arrived to the hotel soon after. It was gorgeous inside! It looked like it cost a fortune, with glass elevators, tight stitched rugs with flowing patterns and designs, and marble tiled flooring. The entire room was humungous and had sky light ceilings.

"Wow." My mum said in amazement, "They really went all out."

"Who did?" I asked her. She turned to me with wide eyes.

"My friend." She added.

"What's her name?" I quizzed her.

"Cindy." She said. We went to the front desk and a nice lady helped us get settled with our room. We were room 206 on floor 26 out of 38 floors. When we finally reached our floor and got to our room, I immediately started unpacking and started settling in. The room was gorgeous. It was a suite with a mini bar, balcony, plasmas and 2 large bedrooms. It was like a mini condo! My mum came into the room as I was finishing up hanging my dresses in the closet.

"We have to leave soon. I have to meet Cindy by 7:00 p.m." She said. I looked over at the clock on the night stand. 6:15 p.m.

"Be ready in 30 minutes." She ordered, and then walked out to get ready herself. I didn't know what to where so I picked my favorite dress. Navy blue with the bow ties in the back and a cute brown belt and. It was Louis' favorite. I smiled holding the dress up in front of me and then laid it across the bed. I quickly rushed into the bathroom and put some makeup on and curled my hair a little bit so it looked like a models! I put the dress on and tied the bow in the back. I put a little white cropped sweater/jacket and my white flats on and walked outside. My mum was already ready and dressed a little more casual then I'd expected but it didn't matter.

"Ooh la-la. I like it." She said. I spun around once.

"You think?" I asked her.

"Yes! You look gorgeous. Now come on, we don't want to be late."

We arrived outside an arena and my mum tipped the taxi driver before getting out of the car. I looked around at the dark but bright lit city I was in. New York City, such a busy and exciting city! We walked into the arena but it was empty.

"Where is everybody?" I asked.

"They're inside already." My mum said. I needed to know what was going on. She handed the ticket person our tickets and then he let us through, I was very confused.

"Mum, where are we?" I asked.

"We're here for a concert. We're a little late but that's okay." She stated. I could hear screaming fans from inside the arena. Who were we hear seeing? We walked to the front row and everything was very dark. The usher had to escort us to our seats because we couldn't see. We finally sat down and I couldn't believe how close we were to the stage. I was literally only about 10 feet (maybe closer) away! So many things were racing through my mind. My mum was texting someone and then put the phone down and smiled at me. I smiled back, not having a clue as to what was going on.
