Vivid Memories

We only have 24 hours

January 1st

8:00 am can't get here soon enough!

There is no way that I can sleep.
I toss and turn all night long.
I didn't even put my jammies on because the shirt I had on
smelled just like him.

I keep looking at the clock and time Is taking forever.
Finally, the clock flipped to 5 am.
I'm awake!!

To the kitchen I go.
I make chocolate milk and toast because this my friends is the best breakfast!
I love to dip my butter toast in chocolate milk.
Delicious!

Now it's time for the world's
Longest shower! :)
Please note this is before bath and body works and all the millions of body sprays!
I had strawberry
shampoo and conditioner... Lol :)

I put my robe on and its now time to head to my bedroom to
GET READY!
I tried on everything in my closet.
I didn't want to look to
dressy or to casual.
I had no idea what we
would end up doing all day!
All I knew was that
I needed to be stunning!

I wore my favorite pair of jordache jeans, with my brown boots, a cream colored turtle neck and
my brown sweater!
In this outfit I could not go wrong!
I was comfortable.

My hair that day turned out perfect and I'm sure I used a half can of suave hair spray, I needed to be sure my long curly hair didn't move...

My make-up was perfect too!
I never wore a ton of make-up.
I always wanted my
face to look more natural.
My favorite part was my glossy clear lipstick that tastes like twizzlers.

For the finishing look I put on my beautiful necklace and earrings.
Now it was time for
my signature smell
ETERNITY perfume.

I head out to the living room
where my dad and step mom
were waiting to see me.
I said how do I look.
My dad said like a young lady!

I look at the clock it's 7:45 and I see this blue little escort car coming up our driveway. I got the biggest smile on my face and I said I will be right back so I could go meet him at his car and walk in with him.

Every ounce of my body wants to run and meet him, but I didn't want to look desperate or anxious so I just walked quickly till I got to the top of our deck.
It's freezing out and I didn't put my coat on because I would only be outside for a minute.
He finally parks his car in our driveway and he is getting out of his car. I could not help it I ran over to him and hugged him and he picked me up and was spinning me around as he hugged me back! He kissed my cheek and said
I HAVE MISSED YOU SO MUCH!
I said ME TOO!!
He took my hand and said let's get you in the house it's cold out here!
As we were walking up the stairs
he stopped me
took both of my hands
and said
Heather you
look absolutely beautiful!
I am so lucky!
He pulled a red rose from his coat
and gave it to me and said
I'M SORRY ITS A LITTLE SMOOSHED
I KISSED HIM
and said thank you
And we both laughed!
Then we went inside!

I had no idea how this
was going to go!
My dad meeting a boy I like...
My dad shook his hand and they introduced themselves to each other. My dad seemed pleased.
My dad was very nice to him.
Dan didn't seem nervous at all.
I introduced Denise my step mom to him and she asked him if he didn't mind if she prepared dinner could we come back and have dinner with them since we only had this day together. He said of course that we would love to.
Denise said I should put my flower in water so it would not die so her and I went to the kitchen and she hugged me and said he is so cute to enjoy myself today and she gave
me $20 just in case.

Dan and my dad came out to the kitchen my dad said we had a full day ahead of us to have fun. I was to get my coat, scarf, and gloves.
My dad added in my hat I was like what?? My hair??
Dan winked and said you
need your hat!
I'm like okay but
I'm thinking WTF...LOL
I got everything, and we were off...

In the car Dan said do you mind if I have our whole day planned, are you kidding me, no that's perfect!!
He held my hand our entire car ride even as he was switching gears. I had no idea what we were doing I didn't even care. We talked and talked and laughed, there was never a dull moment.

First stop
SLED RIDING!!
I love this

we had an amazing time!
We raced, we had snow ball fights, we built a snowman, we tried to bury each other in the snow...
I laughed out loud for hours and hours! It was just the two of us! Yes I had my hat on Yes my hair got messed up and I DID NOT CARE ONE BIT!
We were freezing cold so we left he took me home to meet his momma where she all ready had hot chocolate waiting for us! She made us a beautiful lunch and we sat around talking to his whole family! Oh I fell in love with them.
They were so nice to me!
His mom took so many pictures of us. (this was before digital)
We played board games with his whole family.
The feeling I had around
all of them was so loving,
the love he showed me was undeniable everyone could see it.
We soon left there and went back to my dads house
so that we would not
miss dinner with my family.
Pork, sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, dumplings, hotdogs, and homemade whopper pie cake.
Dinner was not done so I took him out four wheeling. We raced and my family came out and we pulled each other behind on sleds.
Seriously SO MUCH FUN!
Everyone around us was
having a blast!
We went in
ate dinner and talked and talked!

I ended up in
my old
neon green knee high wool socks, sweat pants, turtle neck and sweatshirt
on sitting around the fire
hair pulled up in ponytail.
Time was coming so close
for him to leave
he needed rest because he
couldn't start boot camp exhausted.
I dreaded him leaving!
He didn't want to leave either.
As we talked and said
good bye
both of our eyes filled
with tears because it would
be months till we would ever see each other again.
I hugged him so hard,
I didn't want to let go.
As he drove off
I sat on my deck
just starring and crying.
He was gone!!
I said to myself
if he loves me he will come
back right now and tell me.
I sat there five minutes
he came back
I ran and hugged him
he said I LOVE YOU,
I SAID I LOVE YOU TOO!!
He kissed me :)
He said Heather can we make
This official, will you be my
Girl forever... OF COURSE I WILL

I told him to go get some rest for
Boot camp that I would be here!
I'm not going any where.
