Three weeks later.
Britt's pov.
Today is the first day of summer and Katherine's 5th birthday, and, since her stitches were taken off last week, we are celebrating by going to Disney. So Dylan and I woke up at 6:45 am to get ready and pack up a bag full of clothes, snacks, and water.
At 7:20 I walked over to James' room, while Dylan went to Katherine's, and woke him up with many kisses to his face and tickling his belly once he was awake.
''Hey buddy.'' I heard Dylan say to James, as he walked into his room. I smiled at Kate, who was in Dylan's arms, and walked over to her, kissing her on the cheek.
''Happy birthday, baby, how are you?'' I asked her. She smiled at me and clapped her hands.
''We're going to Disney World!'' she exclaimed. James stood up, quickly, from his bed, his eyes wide open.
''What!? really? That's today?'' he asked, getting really excited. I nodded my head, watching as he started jumping up and down on the floor, really excited and happy.
I laughed at his reaction and then turned to his closet, walking over to it and getting out the clothes and shoes he's going to wear. Dylan went back to Katherine's room to get her dressed.
''Here, put this on.'' I said, handing him some , a t-shirt, and a pair of red TOMS.
After he was done I styled his hair in a quiff, but it kept falling ,so I left it how it was. He looked adorable. Right after I was done with James, Katherine ran into the room, wearing joggers, a t-shirt, and cream Her hair was done to perfection, with a low ponytail and a braid that went along her whole front. She looked beautiful. 'I taught him well', I thought to myself as I inspected the braid.
''Look Kate, we match!" said James, running over to Katherine's side and showing her his shirt and shoes. I smiled and chuckled, seeing as they did match.
''Come on, let's go.'' I called to Dylan, James, and Katherine, who were in the kitchen finishing their pancakes. I looked down at my shirt, jeans and , making sure they weren't stained, anywhere, by the mix. I looked back up and saw coming back, holding James in one arm and Kate on the other. I chuckled and shook my head at him, as he gave me a smirk. I looked at the clock on the wall next to me and saw it was 7:50 am, so that means we're late.
I closed and locked the door behind me, walking back to the car with the double stroller and bag in my hand. I put the things in the trunk of the car and then got in the passengers side, the kids were strapped to their car-seats and Dylan was behind the wheel waiting for me.
We drove for 30 minutes before we saw the castle from far away, the kids hadn't noticed it, since they were fighting over some toy, but Dylan and I saw it. I smiled and turned to look at the kids.
''Guys look, it's Cinderella's castle!'' I exclaimed, pointing out the window. They stopped fighting immediately and looked out the window. Katherine started clapping her hands and squealing, all excited and stuff, while James jut stared at it, amazed.
"Yay!!" Exclaimed Katherine, loudly. I smiled, looking at her. She was so happy.
"Daddy, this is totally a place for girls." Said James, finally breaking his silence almost fifteen minutes later. I looked over at him with shock, while Dylan laughed. Katherine glared at him, but didn't say anything.
"No James, guys come here too." Said Dylan as He drove inside the parking of the park.
"I don't know daddy, but all I see is a bunch of girls wearing funny dresses." He said, slumping down in the car seat. I laughed as I looked to my sides, searching for a parking spot, helping Dylan.
"Here's what we can do, you stay with daddy the whole day, and Katherine will stay with mommy, that way it can be boys with boys, and girls with girls, Yeah?" Said Dylan, parking in a spot He found.
"Yeah! And we can do guy stuff!" He exclaimed. I laughed at his excitement and hopped out of the car.
I went over to Katherine's side, while Dylan got the stroller out of the trunk, and opened the door, un-buckling her car-seat and letting her step out of the car. I closed the door and took her hand.
"Stay next to daddy." I said, leaving her next to Dylan, and walking over to James' side, opening his door, un-buclking his car-seat and letting him out. I closed the door and walked next to Dylan, who had opened the stroller and had buckled Kate in it.
"James, sit next to your sister." I said, letting him walk over to the stroller and sit on the seat next to Katherine. Dylan buckled him up and then put the blind down.
"Wait, I forgot the bag." I said, stopping mid walk out of the parking lot. Dylan took the car keys out of his pocket and handed it to me, telling me to get it while He waited there for me.
I took the keys from his hand and ran back to the car, opening the back door and getting the bag that was laying on the floor. After I closed the door, and locked the car again, I ran back to Dylan. I handed him the keys, putting the bag on the little basket under the stroller.
-skipping the train ride to the park and the looong lines-
We walked through the gates of the park, seeing so many people, characters, and, in the distance, the castle.
"Aaah, mommy, I want a picture with Rapunzel!" Exclaimed Katherine, pointing at where Rapunzel was. I looked over and saw her, and the long line to take a picture. I rolled my eyes, seeing there was no other option, Rapunzel is Katherine's favorite Disney princess and She has to take a picture with her.
"Okay, come on." I said, walking over to the line, Dylan following me with the stroller.
Thirty five minutes, and sixty people later, we were two people away from Rapunzel. Katherine was getting more excited by the minute, annoying James even more than He already was. Let's just say that the kid isn't too happy about taking pictures with princesses.
"I'm sorry, there can't be any strollers when your with the princess, if you could be so kind to get the kids out, we will take it and hold it over there, by the exit, while you're with Rapunzel. When you are done we will give it back." Said one of the staff members, coming up to us. We nodded out heads, taking Katherine and James out of the stroller, and handing it to her. She rolled it over to the exit, putting it next to another staff member.
Dylan was holding James, who had his head resting on his shoulder, one arm on the other shoulder, and the other hanging from his side.
"Daddy, this isn't guy stuff." He mumbled.
"I know, buddy, but it's your sisters birthday and we have to do this for her." Dylan said, stroking James back. He groaned a little and then closed his eyes.
"Look, there's a prince, too!" Said Dylan when the people in front of us went up. James looked at the small set, seeing there was a prince, and a small smile formed on his lips.
A few minutes later it was our turn, so we walked up, me holding Kate's hand and Dylan holding James in his arms.
"Hello sweety, how are you?" Asked Raunzel, getting down to Katherine's level. Katherine smiled big and hugged her, not answering the question. I noticed James was in Eugine's (Flynn Rider's) arms, having a small conversation.
"I love you so much!!" Exclaimed Katherine, letting go of the princess.
"Oh, why thank you, young lady, I love you too." She said, sounding all fancy and stuff.
After a minute, or so, of small chat, and Rapunzel meeting James, and Eugine meeting Katherine, we all posed for a picture, Dylan next to Eugine, who was holding James, and I next to Rapunzel, who was holding Katherine. We smiled at the camera, while the photographer took a few pictures.
We, then said goodbye and walked out of the small set, the photographer giving us a bracelet that had a card on it with the pictures saved on it. We got the stroller and put the kids in it, walking around the park, seeing everything, going to the shows, getting souvenirs from every store, going on many rides, taking pictures with ALL the characters, seeing all the parades, and just having an amazing time as a family.
At 12:45 am we were on our way home, the kids were in the back, in their car-seats, asleep. We had a lot of fun, and took a lot of pictures.
We bought so many things, it was unreal, we looked like we had gone shopping or something, people were staring at us like we had four heads each, but we didn't really care, what's important is that we had fun.
When we got home I went and took Katherine out of here car-seat, while Dylan took James. The door to the house wasn't locked, since Vanessa and Carmen, our maids, were in today cleaning the house. They only work three days a week; Tuesday's, Thursdays, and Saturdays, since they have family's to tend to.
We went up the steps to the front door, and I opened it wide, walking in and going up to Katherine's room. Once I was there, I laid her down on her bed and walked to her drawers and searched for a pair of PJ's and underwear for her.
"Baby, wake up, we have to give you a shower." I said, gently shaking her. She started to slowly open her eyes, groaning. I picked her up, along with her towel, and walked over to the main bathroom in the hall, since Dylan was going to shower James in our bathroom.
I turned on the water and stripped Kate out of her dirty clothes, putting them in the dirty clothes basket. I picked her up again and put her inside the tub, letting the water hit her body. I washed her quickly, since She started crying because She was tired, and then turned off the water, wrapping her in her fluffy towel and walking back to her room.
I quickly dress her in her panties and pajamas, putting her hair up in a loose, messy bun, and letting her go to bed. I gave her a goodnight kiss on the forehead after tucking her in, and then walked out of the room, turning on her night light and turning off the light.
As I'm walking down the hall to James' room, I see Dylan walking in my direction, probably going to give Kate a kiss, or get James a bottle. I smile at him as we pass by each other, and open the door to James room, him opening Kate's.
I see James tucked in his bed, fast asleep, and smile. I walk over to him and give him a light kiss on the forehead, stroking his cheek as I look at him, a small smile on my face.
My little boy, whos not so little anymore. He will be turning seven in a few months. How could that be? I still remember the day I brought him home, for the first time, like it was yesterday. I remember the first time He called me 'mom', and when He started walking. He's grown so much, I have no baby boy anymore.
I felt a small tear leave my eye as I looked at him, memories from when He was just a baby flooding my mind. I sighed and wiped it away, standing up straight and walking out of the room, closing the door behind me.
After a good shower and a small snack, I was in bed, snuggled close to Dylan, half asleep and half awake.
"I love you, baby."said Dylan, kissing my forehead and making me blush.
"I love you too" I said. And with that I closed my eyes and fell deeply asleep.
