Aarohi's POV

I entered the class sleepily. Why? Obviously because of the drama that happened yesterday. And yes, for the first time ever... Yatharth and I chatted.

I know it was just on WhatsApp, but those five minutes felt like magic. Mark my words, those tiny chats will soon turn into endless late-night convos. And WhatsApp? It'll be replaced by Instagram DMs soon.

Something felt off in school today. The air was strange ,more chaotic chaotic. Even the teachers, who usually yell like we're on some battlefield, were quiet. Now THAT was suspicious.

I plopped down on my seat that was third-last row, obviously. Like hell we'll sit in those front benches the teachers assign. I gave Arshiya a smile, trying to act normal, but she threw me ~ you-are-so-dead ~glare.

Oops.

Okay fine, I had ignored her yesterday. I was... um... busy. With HIM. Hehe.

But instead of scolding me like she usually does, she leaned in and asked, "Did you hear the news?"

I blinked. "What news?"

"Preeti is missing."

"What?" I asked, suddenly more awake. "What do you mean missing? Kabir Singh aaya tha kya?"

"No," she said, rolling her eyes.

"Then a kabootar must've flown away with her."

"Shut up, no!"

"Ohhh, maybe she got those Mister India powers and turned invisible?"

Arshiya deadpanned. "Aarohi, seriously."

"Fine fine! What happened then?"

"She didn't even reach home after school yesterday. Police were in school today for investigation. Her parents were here, crying a lot. People are saying she might've run away with her so-called lover."

I blinked, the jokes dying in my throat.

Arshiya's POV

I expected her to freak out. But she just sat there, silently processing everything. And then... her eyes moved toward the corridor.

Of course. Him.

There he was..walking in like a slow-motion hero from a 2000s Bollywood movie. Yatharth. Messy hair. Slight frown. The school bag slung over one shoulder like it weighed nothing.

She smiled without realizing it.

And I?

Well, I wasn't about to let her get away with that look.

"Pink hai kya?" I whispered, leaning close to her ear.

"Bahut zyada," she muttered dreamily.

"What?!" I shouted louder than I meant to, and suddenly half the class turned to look at me.

I coughed, pretending like nothing happened.

Aarohi's eyes widened as realization hit. "I was talking about his lips"

" I was also talking about his vertical lips"

Aarohi gave her a look. "Bro. He's a boy."

"How do you know?" Arshia teased further.

"Because Dikhta hai yaar" Aarohi huffed.

"BC, jiju ko sharam nahi aati dikhate hue," Arshia muttered under her breath dramatically.

Aarohi gave her the 'are-you-for-real' look but then sighed in surrender.

Arshia smirked. "So that means... you were staring at his lips? And maybe... imagining kissing him?"
