The driveway

I pulled into the driveway and got out of the old van. My head hurt from all of the screaming and I was glad to be at the new house. We had all lived a hard life and it felt good to have a real house. You see when I was young I lived in an orphanage with my friends Kate, Toby, Lee, Michael, and Jase. None of us were related but it felt like we were. I looked at the rest of the crew and realized I have never truly looked at the others. Kate was young but extremely tall with long black hair and green eyes. Toby was the youngest and had brown hair with an oddly colored pair of yellow eyes. Michael was a month older than me and had dirty blonde hair with blue eyes. Lee was two months younger than me with short brown hair and brown eyes. Jase was the shortest with brown hair with hazel eyes. And then me, Sky, a tall 16 year old girl with long brown wavy hair and blue eyes. I shook out of my thoughts and looked at the huge house, there were 8 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and a huge living room. The house was cheap and we didn't have to pay bills which was odd but I didn't care. I walked up to the front door and saw a note. "The one rule. Don't go into the forest after 9:30." That gave me shivers but I soon realized it was probably because of wolves and bears. But deep in my gut I felt like it was more than that.
