"Okay class take out a writing utensil, the Graduation exam is about to commence. Do not stress and take your time. You have two hours so there is no need to rush."

"Here is your exam Calista, remember to breathe and stay calm."

I smile a toothless grin and the professor walks away. Let's do this.

"Welcome to the world of Pokemon. My name is Calista and I'm 16 years old. I suppose you are wondering what I am doing in an academy at my age when I could be out catching every Pokemon possible. Well this day in age, it isn't that easy.

You see, in my world Pokémon is much more than leaving home at ten in hopes that you can be "the very best". It isn't all for becoming the top coordinator or a Pokemon master. In fact, it hasn't been this way for decades as far as I know. This day in age the Pokemon world is divided into twenty different "factions". Among these include: eighteen for each individual type, one for the children who wish to become knowledgeable about all things Pokemon (the faction I currently reside in), and the faction for the ignorant. The last faction is populated for those who have either made the decision to have an everyday job, or for those who seek retirement. Contrary to what one may believe, the faction for the ignorant is the most populated of the twenty.

Another thing about my world is we do not have what were known as gyms. This in turn also means we do not have the Pokemon League. We do however have a Hall of Fame for previous trainers who have been recognized. They include from Dragon Trainer Lance to Sinnoh Champion Cynthia to Pokemon Master, Ash Ketchum.

To get recognized in the Hall of Fame, one must travel throughout the eighteen factions that resemble a Pokemon type, and collect various items from various destinations in each faction. No aspiring trainer fully knows what these eighteen things are. Even those who go on the journey to find the items do not know what, or even where they may be. These objects are not known by anyone except those who hand over the items, or the travelers in search of them.

To add even more difficulty and hysteria, since these objects have been required by the Hall of Fame, only two people have EVER obtained all objects. People in search of the objects have been attempting to locate these individuals. However no one has been able to locate where they reside.

Ding Dong. Ding Dong.

"Okay students! The time limit for your written exams is complete. Please turn in your papers and head to the battlefield for your battle exams. Remember! Your score will not affect whether you pass or fail, it solely determines class ranking. You are dismissed!"

Everyone rushes down the hallway pushing each other to get to the battlefield. The students here may not love the idea of attending school for as long it's mandated, but the idea of Pokémon battling makes any trainer excited.

After around 30 minutes, eeryone makes it to the battlefield and people are flocking to one area. It seems the battle instructor is notifying us on what will happen.
I quickly pick up the pace so that I am not left out of the instructions. Just as I make it to crowd, the instructor begins to speak.

"Okay students quiet down! Quiet!" He sighs and the area is at a silence. "Good. Welcome class of 2144. This is your final encounter in our beloved academy; the battle face offs are about to commence. Think of this as your final frontier. Each of you have worked diligently twenty four seven, and now this is where things get intense. As each of you know, you were assigned someone to better yourselves at the beginning of your academic career. It is today you truly understand what that means. You must battle this person in a 3 on 3 single battle. You will obtain three rental Pokemon for the battle and this will determine things that your instructors need for your graduation standings. Will everyone please get in pairs with that person?"
