I went through life as I always had, enduring the torture of each day, doing homework, and researching Batman. The nex three days were all the same. I carried with me the information about my mom, and I could barely talk to her. I kept looking back at the information on Batwoman, and each day I learned something new. She specialized in throwing weapons and hand to hand combat. Her ninjutsu skills were beyond advanced, and she even had a special batarang from Batman himself! I couldn't believe that my mom was a friend of Batman.

On the fourth day, she finally realized something was bugging me. "Sweetie, got something on your mind?" she asked. I sighed.

"Not really."

She stood with her hands on her hips, giving me the look. "Adrina, I know when you have something on your mind. Now go on, spit it out."

I turned my head up to her. "Are you Batwoman?" I could feel every muscle in my body tense as I asked her the question. Her yes widened and her mouth opened a bit.

"Ari, what have you been doing in your spare time?" she asked, the same look of shock on her face. "Were you hacking again?"

I nodded, looking down. So she was Batwoman. She really was the crime fighter.

"Renee!" she yelled down the hall. Renee was my other mom. I could hear her mumble something and then shuffle out in her pajamas.

"Yes, honey?" she asked groggily.

"We need to tell her."

Renee's eyes widened, but then she nodded. "Sweetie, we are both crime fighters. Your mom is Batwoman, and I'm the Question." I nearly fell over. Both parents, heroes?

"Why didn't you tell me?" I asked, a bit quiet at first. I stared at their expressionless faces. I took a step closer, not once breaking my stare. "Why didn't you tell me?" I asked again, angrier this time. Renee opened her mouth to say something but then let out a sigh of upset instead. I stormed past them, tears forming in my eyes. I closed my door and locked it. There was no way they could apologize now. They had kept it from me for too long. I was really thinking about it now. I stood against my door and sunk down, putting my head in my hands. Every night I went to bed, I risked never seeing my parents again. They could be killed at any point, because criminals were always after people like that.

I felt a knock on my door. "Honey?" Kate's voice said. "Please come out." After another few minutes of sitting there with my knees up to my chest and tears rolling down my cheeks, I opened the door to see both my moms in front of me. I grabbed them and hugged them close. I buried my face in Kate's shoulder, and cried until I couldn't cry anymore.

"I think you're ready," I heard Renee say through my loud crying,

"Ready for what?" I asked, wiping away the tears.

"Ready for your future."
