Me: YAAAAY ITS BAT FAM TIME

sorry for the late update but here we go.

I felt a hand push my shoulder, and my eyes opened slightly. Sunlight filtered through my lashes, and I came into consciousness. Dick was nudging me with his hand. I opened my eyes and muttered "I'm awake." I looked it the window and was in awe at what I could see. Skyscrapers were lining the streets, and their glass panes caught the sunlight as the early morning light peeked over the horizon.

"This is when it's beautiful," said Dick, pointing to the city. "The nighttime is when it gets ugly."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"It means all the creeps come out." I nodded in understanding.

"So, when we get to the station, where exactly are we going?" I asked.

Dick smirked. "Oh, I don't know, maybe just a little place called....Wayne Mannor." He said with a wink.

"Wayne Mannor?"

"Yep. The home of Bruce Wayne."

I was beginning to piece thugs together now. "So if you're Nightwing, than that pretty redhead must be Batgirl, and then Bruce is Batman," I said, feeling proud of myself.

Richard nodded. "I guess we'll have to come up with an identity for you, right?" I smiled.

"I already have one in mind."

"Master Grayson! May I ask who this lovely lady is?" asked the butler, apparently named Alfred Pennyworth, who answered the door. Dick had told me all the nicknames and names of his 'family'.

"This lovely lady is Adrina, and I'm going to train her."

Alfred nodded. "That will be good, to have a protégé. Can I get you something to eat?"

"Yes please!" I exclaimed. "I'm craving mac n cheese."

"That won't be a problem, Mistress Adrina." He walked back into the house and gestures for us to enter. "I'll be int he kitchen if you need me."

After Alfred was gone, I whispered "Better get used to being called Mistress."

"Yep."

I smiled at him. "Well then we better meet the family, Master Grayson." I didn't say it, but I just wanted to see the Batcave and the Batmobile.

Down in the cave, there were two boys and a girl. They all looked at me when I came bounding down the stairs. "Helloooooo home!" I said happily.

"Woah, woah, woah, Dick. Who is this?" asked the redhead skeptically.

Richard laughed at her defeniveness. "Relax, Babs, this is Adrina, my protégé. Remember Kate and Renee wanted her trained?"

The taller, older look boy glided over to greet us. "So you're Adrina. You're even prettier than I thought you'd be." I blushed madly from his compliment. The younger looking boy got in between us, forcing the tall one to back up.

"Easy, Jason, don't scare the poor girl." He offered me a hand to shake. "I'm Damian. It's a pleasure to meet you, Adrina." I smiled at his amazing politeness.

"Very nice to meet you too, Damian," I said, shaking his hand firmly.

The redhead got up from her seat in front of the giant computer screen to meet the new member to the Batcave. "I'm Barbara. It's going to be so nice to have another girl around." She gave me a gentle handshake, and then leaned in and whispered "If the boys ever bug you, I'll beat 'em up, okay?" I giggled and nodded.

"And I'm Jason," said the tall boy, swooping in to grab my hand with grace. He knelt and kissed the back of my hand. "I hope you enjoy your stay." Then he got up and glided back to his seat, leaving me confused and speechless. Dick just shook his head and chuckled.

"Oh, Jason, always the charmer. Don't think about him too much, okay now?" he said, placing a reassuring hand on my shoulder. "I promise, you'll fit right in."

"Promise?" I asked, titling my head back to look at Dick. I raised a pinky so he'd have to swear it.

He linked his pinky with mine. "I promise."
